Nice

Today I wanted to talk to you about our city, Nice.

When I think there are tourists from around the world who come to spend the holidays in our area.

I think we don't really realize the opportunity we have. Nice is not perhaps the most beautiful city in the world but nevertheless, it is a very beautiful city. France itself is a very beautiful country.

Nice is a pretty rich city in terms of culture, architecture...

Every year, we have a famous event in our city which is carnival; it is one of the best known carnivals!

Nice has a rich architectural heritage. During the Savoyard period, several palaces and mansions were built in baroque style. We also have a environmental heritage with the Phoenix Park, "la colline du Château". Finally, at the cultural level, we have the presence of many museums like the Matisse Museum, Chagall and MAMAC, as well as a very beautiful opera.

The famine in South Sudan

Famine has been declared in South Sudan and might be soon declared in Somalia.
Famines are big issues in the world and cause many deaths. Nowadays, famines are often caused by human's actions like wars.

What, in your opinion, should be done about it ?
Would you be ready to give money to help ? And how much ?

The Internet and social links

Today the Internet is something that is part of our daily lives. We use it constantly and sometimes even find it difficult to detach ourselves from it. The Internet has enabled rapid modernization and a major development in certain areas, such as tourism, telemedicine, geolocation and communication.
We can notice an impact on the evolution of social links. Social networks are what allowed this evolution. However, the Internet has a positive but also a negative impact.

Hello everyone,
Today we (1S, ES and L students) sat our exam, a part of the baccalauréat; TPE. It is an oral presentation with teachers who listen to us and mark us. So this morning I sat mine and we did good even if we were unable to answer every question.: How did you manage? what were your feelings about this first part of the baccalaureat?  Did the teachers ask you very specific questions? Tell us about  your experience. Can Julien and Amaury share their experience too?

Physical appearance

Last time I posted a topic about fashion. I also asked you if you wanted me to put one about  physical appearance, and some of you answered yes.. So here it is!

Our society is based on appearance; our appearance is therefore very important. Indeed, it shows  others who we are and who we seem to be. But does it really reveal our identity or our personality? Sometimes, even often, we tend to judge a person from his/her physical appearance without even getting to know him/her. Be aware that appearance can be misleading.
