Dublin

Ce sont deux images de Dublin. Ici, nous avons l'entrée de Trinity College, où se trouve le livre de Kells, un manuscrit celtique qui date du 9ème siècle. Trinity College est l'université la plus connue d'Irlande. Elle se situe au centre-ville. Parmi ses anciens élèves, on compte Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker et Jonathan Swift.



Sur la gauche, c'est un pont qui s'appelle the Ha'penny Bridge. Dans le passé, on devait payer un péage d'une demi-centime (a half-penny) pour traverser le pont!

    agréable - c'est à dire "nice/pleasant" dans ce contexte-là. En ce qui concerne une personne - "agreeable"

    You could also use the verb "steep" - a city steeped in history. A useful idiom concerning history.
