To begin with, there are many weapons that can be used to convince or to show one's point of view. Words are the most distinguished way to make someone agree with you. When you say something or when you write it, you need to argue a lot, to follow a strategy to be convincing. So, on the one hand, using words can be a powerful weapon to defend your point of view. On the other hand, when you read something, you don't see the person who wrote it, so he can't make his argumentation evolve to convince you particularly. But the message the author wants to convey is clear and you always understand it, whether you agree with it or not. Writing is powerful because more and more people have access to books and newspapers, more and more people can read, know what is going on in the world and make up their own opinion. So more and more people can unite and fight prejudice, discrimination or whatever the subject is if it's for a good and important reason, to make society evolve in a positive way.
