Last week was Easter holidays, and I think that everybody celebrated it and looked for hidden eggs in the garden. This tradition exists in many countries but there are different stories: in France, flying bells leave eggs in the gardens while in Germany it's a rabbit, it's different everywhere but I think children all over the world know that their parents put them in the gardens.
So my questions are the following:
-How do you celebrate Easter? Do you know any other traditions?
-Do you think that these kinds of celebration (like Christmas too) are a good thing for children? Aren't they just a lies told by parents who send a lot just to make their children happy? Do you agree with them?

ReplyDelete- First of all, for Christians Easter celebrating Jesus' resurrection. Concerning other tradition I only know that in Finland children will ring at the doors like Haloween.
- As for me I celebrate Easter with my family around a great lunch eating lots of chocolate. Moreover I think that this kind of celebration is great because we spend time with our family and it makes happy everybody, not only children. ( 62 words )

I do not really agree with you Mathieu: I think a lot of children (like me and my brother) knew it was a game. I do not think it was a lie, just a game, like when children play pretend.

Hello! So yes I celebrate Easter family every year around a meal. For eggs, our tradition is the Easter bells, we ask the children to go for a walk and we ring bells discreetly throwing the eggs in the garden. I do not know any other tradition of Easter, and I think this party is funny and magical for children.

ReplyDeleteAs for me , I celebrate Easter because my family is christian . One of our tradition is to break eggs each other and if one of the eggs is not broken , it means that you are lucky !

ReplyDeleteI think Easter as Christmas and every other celbration is a very good opportunity to spend time in family and eat candies. I think it's fun to search eggs in the garden with all your cousin or younger brothers and sisters. Also, it is a bank holiday and everyone likes not going to school or to work.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I celebrate easter two times per year, once with my grandparents in their garden and once with my mother on our appartment balcony. Personally, I do not acknowledge any other easter tradition. I think celebrating these kind of traditions is positive to children. Nowadays, I still continue celebrating easter, even though I am aware of the fiction around it.
