Demonstrations

Do you believe that demonstrating is the only way to show your disapproval?

  1. I don't really understand your question miss but i think that if we have a problem with somebody or something, it is important to make it know from the other to try to resolve the problem.

  3. Disapprove is a way to show or to say we disagree with something. That action may take place in every field like work, politic or for social problems. There are different ways to show our disapproval like demonstrations, strikes, actions and newspapers. But the mainly question is where we can show our disapproval and how do we do that?

In many countries like France, United States of America, Germany, strikes are allowed for about 60 years. Moreover, demonstrations are common practice and are anchored in cultures. For example, every time, France's population disagrees with a law and the government, they show it in demonstrations and strikes. That's why, there aren't almost any violent demonstrations for the populations have the freedom of thought. Besides, democratic countries have freedom of the press and can express ideas through newspapers, websites or media (TV, radios ...).
Still, it's not the case for each country.
Today, in different countries like Syria or Iran, the population can't down in the streets and demonstrate they disagree with the government or more particularly with the State Representative. To avoid that, governments decide to condemn tough persons. They can go to jail or worse, they can condemned to the death sentence.
However, recently, we saw it's possible to change things with demonstrations. Tunisia, Egypt, Libia are now free to elect a new president since the population beat for the freedom of their country.

To my mind, demonstrations aren't the only way to show our disapproval. There are strikes, actions, newspapers and medias. But it's more difficult, for people living in no-democratic countries, to demonstrate their dissatisfaction. That's no depending on the willingness but on the choice to do or not. In this case, I think demonstrations in the only way to change the things and improve living conditions. Tunisia, Egypt and Libia are the best examples.
