Hi everyone, These images are quite caricatured but they perfectly show the current environmental and political situation of the United States.
On one hand, we can see such huge floods that a man is moving along by canoe as water level is too high to walk. Indeed, the woman, who is wearing an orange life jacket, has the water up to her waist. The two persons are holding their hands as a symbol of solidarity after the natural disaster. They seem to help each other demonstrating virtues of compassion, mutual aid and brotherhood. On the other hand, we can see Donald Trump playing golf and throwing the ball in the air. His nonchalant attitude reveals his position on environment : he doesn't pay any attention to the world environmental situation. In other words, he plays with the climate as he plays golf whereas many people are suffering from the climate imbalance.
To put it all in a nutshell, this caricature reflects enough well the reality since Trump resigned the Paris Cop 21 commitment. As far as I am concerned, Trump's indifference concerning global warming is very alarming. To conclude, I cannot understand how the US president can be so unwise.
I think this picture is a good representation of our society : everyone is just selfish and doesn't care about people who suffer from misery. In my opinion we should pay attention to people who have difficulties in their life, instead of letting them alone. They need support and we must be there to help them. While some of us are doing social events, the others have to deal with real life as we could never imagine. Hello everyone! I would like to talk about my englishteacher in 2013-2014. I think that if I love english today, it's because she transmated me her passion for this language. She was very kind with all of the students and always knew when one of us had a problem. She was all day long happy and smiling. Her lessons were very well done and I learnt a lot of things about the United Kingdom, especially about London. Moreover she lived five years in this fabulous town. During her lessons, everyone participated because it was always interressant and rarely annoying. She was strict but very fair. During the break, my friends and I stayed with her in the classroom. As Obama's opponents during hurricane Katrina, the same critics are made to Trump. Moreover, it's true that Trump doesn't really show climate respect by his tweets and by refusing the climate aggrement of Paris. Hurricane Harvey was an extremely destructive Atlantic hurricane. It caused at least 150 deaths.Economic losses are at between $70 to $200 billion. So I think that in hard time as today, people shouldn't arguing about uninteresting facts but should help each others.

I wanted to give my opinion on these two pictures. I think that these two pics represent well the actual society because the difference between rich and poor people is going bigger and bigger today. With the second picture, we can deduce that the richer person in the actual world are doing nothing to help the person in difficulties. However, the first picture show that there is a lot of mutual help and solidarity between people when it is possible. For me, these images perfectly show the inequalities that exist in our societies. in fact, in addition to the inequalities of lifestyle and wealth, the poor have a hard time living while the rich want to be even richer. We can clearly see from these two images that there are two types of life. on the one hand, mutual aid, solitude between individuals on the other hand, a selfish world, where only one's own existence counts, one's own needs, where others are not essential for one's life. And unfortunately, this way of thinking persists in our societies but there are always people ready to help others without anything in return. In an ideal world, everyone should help each other, the rich giving in to the poor, and the latter could then live better and the world would be better, but this is not the reality and the inequalities even little visible for certain exist well.

And, on the other hand, these pictures remind us the politic of Donald Trump about climate changing : he said that it doesn't exist.
However, to my mind, putting these images together is not a good solution : of course Donald Trump is a danger for the world but we can't blame him for all the misery in the world.

ReplyDeleteTo start with, on the first picture you can see two people with a very high level of water after a natural disaster.
The man is on a canoe and is trying to help a woman, walking with a life jacket, by hanging his hand towards her.
This is a very nice symbol of solidarity between people, especially in a tough situation like a natural disaster.
Besides, on the second picture you can see Donald Trump playing golf. In my opinion, I'm a bit shocked because I can't help thinking that, whereas some people are suffering and struggling for life in some parts of the united states, the president, himself, keeps having fun, practicing golf. It shows the little empathy this man has for his citizens.
To conclude, it reveals that US president doesn't care about environment, that's why he resigned the Paris Cop 21 commitment.
To my mind, he shouldn't do that in view of the several recent natural disasters that happened in the USA.

ReplyDeleteTo begin with, these pictures are quite caricatural because Trump wasn't playing golf during hurricane Harvey. As Obama's opponents during hurricane Katrina, the same critics are made to Trump.
Moreover, it's true that Trump doesn't really show climate respect by his tweets and by refusing the climate aggrement of Paris.
Hurricane Harvey was an extremely destructive Atlantic hurricane. It caused at least 150 deaths.Economic losses are at between $70 to $200 billion. So I think that in hard time as today, people shouldn't arguing about uninteresting facts but should help each others.

In the first picture, we can see two people helping each othe because of the natural disaster, it’s a beautiful message of solidarity.
In the second picture we can see Donald Trump playing golf.
These 2 pictures are opposed and want to denounce the fact that the president doesn’t care about his population, these pictures want also to alarm people about the fact that Donald Trump doesn’t want to participate to Cop21.
To finish we can say that Donald Trump doesn’t take his responsabilities and his attitude is a shame.

ReplyDeleteTo start with, I would say that the photography is a good art to expose the news about the world. It's a good tool for the information and communication.
Firstly, on one of these images we can see the consequence of a natural disaster, including the great flood, however the two people are helping each other and that represent an action of solidarity. I think it's an important and wise thing for them to pass the difficult times together.
Secondly, on the other image we can see Donald Trump playing golf alone and he seems not worried about the different people affected by natural disaster.
To conclude, I think these images are related and that they expose perfectly the situation in America.

To begin with, on the first picture we can see a man on a canoe moving all along the floods and holding a woman’s hand. Water had recovered the ground and the woman’s body is half in the water half outside ; so the floods must have been really strong. In addition, the fact that they are holding their hands shows a big human link, and a nice soldarity between them. It also shows that they are going to fight together to solve this environmental disaster.
On the other side, Donald Trump is represented playing with a golf ball. He looks calm and don’t really care of what is happening around him, in the United-States. Moreover, by contrast of the first picture, he is alone and isn’t shaking a hand. This also shows that he doesn’t have a huge compation or this solidarity link with others. Indeed, his behaviour is quite alarming concerning the environment. That send us to the COP 21 when he decided to give up and to resign all things linked to the environment.

Some of persons help people in need, it's a really good action and more important, that human. Other people are rich and selfish, they don't see the misfortune of other, i find this really sad and inhuman. If all people try to create a better world like persons who help people in need, it would be a world in peace probably.

First of all, The above image representes a man on a canoe and he holds the hand of a woman. There are both in water which shows that there was a flood in the city. I think this photography shows mutual aid and solidarity between people when they are in complicated situations. As for me, it's very good and strong message. The next image representes Donal Trump who is doing golf.
The two images denounce also the fact that the president of the United States is completely indifferent about the big problem of our planet. He thinks just at him, he is selfish.
the situation of our planet is very worrying and alarming. The global warming is a very big problem that must be solved. More and more natural disasters are making victims in the world. In fact, it's getting hotter, There are more hurricanes.... I find absolutely astounding that Donald trump doesn't act and is not worried about the climate and the consequences of the global warming in the future. Finally, these photoraphies allows to make progress the mentality of the people and allows to learn to people that they have to help his next one, they don't have to just think at themselves. Moreover, it sensitizes people about the global warming an its consequences.

Indeed we can see a man helping a woman during a flood which show us how generous a human can be because he's in danger and he could just care of himself but he chooses to take risk for her. In the second picture we can see a man juggling with a golf ball which don't mean a lot of thing when it's isolated but when it's next to an other picture like this one, it give a really strong sense. Indeed golf is a symbol of the rich people and of the selfishness of the rich because it use a lot of water and energy to preserve a golf field when people are dying from the lack of water.

Underneath, we can see the American president, Donald Trump who plays golf. These photos are the opposite of each other. Indeed, we know that Trump decided to withdraw from the Paris agreements. In my opinion, it is a very bad news for the planet because the United States is one of the most polluting countries on earth. If we do not make efforts, more and more disasters will happen. It is really important to realize that millions of people are in danger. Futhermore, if we do not do something, temperature will inrease and a lot of migrants will come from Africa. We call it climate refugees.

ReplyDeleteI would like to share with you my opinion about theses images.
To start with, I would say that the two images are in antithesis with each other; we can see in the first one on the top 2 persons helping each other after an environmental disaster. However in the second one, underneath, Donald Trump, the US President who is represented playing with a golf ball. This shows us that we live in a life in which there is an unequal justice.
Indeed, the president doesn't take his responsabilities because as I'm concerned, he embodies selfishness and incompassion. He doesn't realize that lot of people are in danger, all that matters to him is the money he earns and... himself.
Finally, theses images assembled together are a denunciation of the lack of solidarity that the State demonstrates. If we don't act, the image of the American Way of Life will degrade and even worse, it will disappear.

I think that these two pics represent well the actual society because the difference between rich and poor people is going bigger and bigger today.
With the second picture, we can deduce that the richer person in the actual world are doing nothing to help the person in difficulties.
However, the first picture show that there is a lot of mutual help and solidarity between people when it is possible.
To conclude, the contrast between these two pics lies in the fact that the people who mostly helps the needies are, most of the time, not those who could do the most because of their resources. Generosity is not proportional to the richness.

ReplyDeleteWhat do i think about this picture ? I think it is the perfect representation of the contrast between the people and the leaders of a people. Indeed, we can see inhabitants in difficulty after a big natural disaster whose access to their home has become inaccessible with the tidal wave and having lost everything. Moreover, we can see that the inhabitants help each other ... Unlike Donald Trump who prefers to play golf quietly. What can represent a kind of ignorance, as if he closed his eyes about the problems of his country and its inhabitants and prefers to take care of him.

Indeed, in the first photo, situated at the top, the act of solidarity, mutual aid is clearly represented. This photo represents a quality that becomes more and more rare in our society because today we live in a world where the egoism is omnipresent. In fact, the mentality of each changes, each thinks of his well-being and not that of the other one except that to think like that returns us to have a more and more selfish and individualistic attitude.
On the other hand, the second image, which the actual president of the United States, Donald Trump is represented, shows the opposite. In fact, this picture shows the behaviour of political men and rich persons. We can deduce that while Donald trump play golf, lot of persons lives in misery and have difficulties to live in a society where the standard of living is more and more important. However, despite her difficulties, each person stick together with the others whereas the rich persons, in majority prefers live her life alone. I think it’s so sad to think like that because if everyone were united and generous with each other’s, our society would be better.

It showed both sides of it, one for the kindly, generous and lovely people who would do anything to make this place a better world ,then the selfish, egoist people. In the first place, we're going to argue about the first picture, then we're going to argue on the other one.
First of all, the first picture represent a man and a woman hand to hand. The man is in a canoe and the women in the water. These last years we heard a lot about the climate conditions and we can guess that the man and the woman was here for help. It shows the quality of somme people with is being rarely in our society.
On the other hand, the second image represent the actual President Donal Trump of the United States playing golf. We heard a lot about him, a man who thinks that money rules the world and who loves himself. He perfectly demonstrates the selfish and egoist man. While some people are trying to help we have this political men who is playing to golf.
To conclude, those images demonstrate the kindness and the selfishness of people. In my point of view, those pictures represent a metaphor like "the good and the evil", they showed a big contrast. The fact that the people who could actually change a thing (the rich people) about the society where we living are doing nothing whereas those who helped are not rich but generous people.

ReplyDeleteFor me, these images perfectly show the inequalities that exist in our societies. in fact, in addition to the inequalities of lifestyle and wealth, the poor have a hard time living while the rich want to be even richer. We can clearly see from these two images that there are two types of life. on the one hand, mutual aid, solitude between individuals on the other hand, a selfish world, where only one's own existence counts, one's own needs, where others are not essential for one's life. And unfortunately, this way of thinking persists in our societies but there are always people ready to help others without anything in return.
In an ideal world, everyone should help each other, the rich giving in to the poor, and the latter could then live better and the world would be better, but this is not the reality and the inequalities even little visible for certain exist well.
