Donald TRUMP

What do you think of his attitudes/behavior ?

Donald TRUMP said:"North korea Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the"Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times". Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!"

  1. Hello!

First of all, I would like to say that the attitude of Kim Jong Un is not really surprising me because everybody knows that he is a dictator and he really wants to destabilize all the nations which are not his allies (and that means a lot !).
Secondly, the attitude of Donald Trump is really irresponsible because he is provocating a very dangerous person and he knows that North Korea is already able to throw some missiles above Japan. I think that Donald Trump did not have the good attitude at this moment, because Kim Jong Un may have no hesitation to launch his nuclear if he could. None of these leaders seems to have a reasonable attitude, and sometimes it looks like we have two children stupidely provocating each others, rather than people who lead their respective nations.

  2. Hello everyone, here is my opinion about that.
First of all, I don't support any of these two "presidents" who are Donald Trump, President of the USA and Kim Jong Un, leader of North Korea. Moreover, my opinion is my opinion and, in a democratic country like France, we can debate about that. To my mind, I think that Trump wanted to show his power but also to humiliate or denigrate Kim Jong Un. Although Kim Jong Un is a dictator, this act from Donald Trump shows that, in my interpretation, he isn't serious in his work as a President. Then, he talks about nuclear bomb as he's playing a game, which is the game of million's life and it could become the 3rd World War..
So that's why I think that Donald Trump doesn't adopt the best behaviour about nuclear arm in his speech. To finish, I would like to quote Plaute who said, more than two thousand year ago, "Homo homini lupus" (the man is a wolf for the man).

    1. I totally agree with you, i want to add that also he doesn't have the experience of becoming a president, he doesn't have the skills to become a president, we can take the example of Obama who worked hard for his campaign, he stand up as the first black president of The United States and he is still an example to follow even if he’s no more the president. Trump is acting like a child, he responds to threats instead of ignoring them like an adult would do. I still don't know why Trump is the President of The United States.

  3. Hi everyone,

First of all, I think it’s really sad that two really powerful persons on earth talk about nuclear bombs like it was a game or something no important. To my mind this is a childish behavior, and it’s a shame for them because instead of accomplishing greater or bigger things, they are destroying the planet. And moreover, risking so many lives.

Second of all, Donald Trump shouldn’t have talked like that because he is provoking Kim Jong Un and we all know that this man is really dangerous and that he could launch his nuclear whenever he wants to.

I would conclude by saying that the behavior of both men is irresponsible.

  4. Donald Trump is the American president since 2016 and Kim Jong Un is the head of North Korean since 2011. Both countries are on bad terms since approximately two years. And at the beginning of January, Donald trump “made fun” on tweeter of Kim Jung Un about their “Nuclear Buttons”.

First, I found this kind of behaviour stupid and ridiculous from two politics men. We can think that we are in front of two children who are trying to pick a quarrel with each other on social networks (here, it’s on tweeter).
Besides, they are talking about a dangerous subject which already created a lot of deaths in the Second World War. And because they’re politics men, people must take this in a serious way because they have a lot of power with this “Nuclear Button”.

Finally, I think this attitude is very bad and not adapted to this situation.

  6. Hi everyone,
I want to start out by saying that I don't encourage any of these men.
I do think Kim Jong Un is the man he claims to be, a dictator that takes pleasure in his way of running his "country".

However, Donald Trump to me is a man that likes to be the center of attention, he likes the press talking about him, to me it's like he thinks that he's constantly on a talk show, that he can say whatever he wants to because to him everything is pretty much a joke.
But as the president of one of or the most powerful countries in the world he must be careful on his choice of words and his acts because it's not like a nuclear bomb works thanks to a the simple act of pressing on a button, it's much more than that, it involves many more people and much more time.
So both are quite ridiculous in this "argument" that is obviously more about being funny and showmen than being mature people and presidents.

  7. Hi everybody!
Donald Trump is a very confident man and aggressive in his decisions. He was elected during the presidential election in the USA against Hillary Clinton. It is him who has the nuclear bomb in his hands, and he boasts enormously about himself... Trump considers himself stronger than Kim Jong-un (who is the leader of North Korea) because he has a nuclear button more powerful and bigger than Kim's. This history of nuclear buttons is absurd because both will have so many consequences in terms of human and material damages. Here, Donald Trump has a deplorable behavior, he thinks he is above the people and shows sign of superiority and vanity. For him the size of the button counts a lot. He mentioned this topic on twitter on Wednesday, January 4th. There were several reactions about this subject; former vice-president Joe Biden said: " [we must] never let his arrogance be the cause of a nuclear war ! "

  8. The news President of the USA loves tweet all he think in tweeter.
In this case, he talk about the nuclear dissuasion which both USA and North Corea use to provocate the other.

To my mind, Donald Trump made a mistake because when you provocate a dictator like North Corea's leader it can be very dangerous. Donald Trump was an impulsive man and he is not able to control himself. Since he was elected, old problems came back and came stronger than before his election. I think Donald Trump think that he was a game between North Corea's leader and hime but it is not.
Finally, I think that Donald Trump will be a problem for the world if he continue to do what he want because I think he was a little bit crazy.

We have to be careful because the situation between the 2 countries is very difficult and can escalate into a conflit said the most pecimist people...
    Thanks for reading

  9. Hello everyone,
To begin with, when I saw this tweet, I firstly found it really funny. But then, I remembered that it was from the President of the biggest superpower in the world ! Indeed, this attitude can be dangerous for the United States of America but also for the world since we know that Kim Jong Un is as provocative as Trump…

In fact, I don't know if Trump's attitude is a strategy or if he really thinks tweeting those kind of things will improve his country's situation. Moreover, this tweet reveals a burning issue in the USA : for some Americans, like Michael Wolff, a journalist who published the book « Fire and Fury », Donald Trump is unfit for office and is mentally unstable. On the other hand, for others, his controversial attitude is just a strategy and the presidential telenovela is a diversion so that he and his administration do not account for what they actually do.

Finally, Mr Trump's provocative tweet about nuclear weapons can be dangerous but in my opinion it can't really lead to a IIIrd World War. However, we have to be attentive because both of these heads of state are acting in a childish way.

  10. Hello everybody !
As far as I am concerned, I think that the North Korea leader Kim Jong Un is provocating Donald Trump and is keeping acting just like a dictator does. He doesn’t even imagine how powerful the USA is ! Though, Donald Trump answers quite aggressively by denying North Korea that he qualifies in a pejorative way of a « depleted and food starved regime ». He also points out that the USA is much more powerful than North Korea. Consequently, Donald Trump is provocative too and this is a very dangerous attitude to have with a dictator.
To conclude, In my opinion both of them are acting like 2 immature persons, they have rather childish attitudes.

  11. Hi everyone!
First of all, I would like to thank Hadil for posting this interesting subject. Furthermore, I’m interested in worldwide relationships. North Korea and the USA have a conflit since 2016, when Donald Trump became president.
Indeed, Kim Jung Un and Donald Trump have both the nuclear weapon and they always threat the other country. Personally, I dislike both dirigeants however Kim Jung Un is a dictator whereas Trump is not.
These two dirigeants are stupid and childish. Trump makes jokes on twitter while Jung Un uses his power to terrorize the population. The nuclear button is a game for them so giving them the power to use it is suicide. Nevertheless, Trump can’t use the weapon alone because of democracy.
All in all, it’s important to remind us that these people can, whenever they want, use the nuclear weapon and destroy the entire world. As far as I am concerned, I’m quite unease and stressed because I do not know how they are able to react, as they are really fool.

  12. Hi everyone,
As Lena, I am really interested in geopolitical relationships between different countries. However, I don't totally agree with her about the topic. First of all, the conflict which opposes North Korea and the USA have started for a very long time. Thus, to my mind, it is a mistake to say that the conflict began in 2016. Indeed, these tensions come from the Cold War and even before. One should not forget that during the Korean War (1950-53),the United States dropped many bombs over North Korea in order to support and protect South Korea from invasion.
On the other hand, we are on the same wavelength saying that Kim Jung Un and Donald Trump are both very strange. The one who actually frightens me more is Trump because he leads the most powerful and influential country in the world. Nevertheless, Kim Jung Un doesn't have to get the consent of the members of his government to take a decision. Therefore, the fact that he keeps his population in a dictatorial system implies that many people agree with him, either because they are victim of propaganda or because they are afraid to get imprisoned.

To sum up, I am far from convinced that tensions between North Korea and the USA are going to calm down. I just hope that they will not use their fatal nuclear weapon.

  13. Hello !

To begin, I think that Donald Trump is not a good president. He doesn't have the skills to be. He is just a billionaire who has power.
Kim Jong is a dictator and I think that he said this to provoke Trump. And Trump should had ignored instead of wanting to show that he has more power than Kim Jong. They are irresponsible and dangerous. Both do not think about the consequences of the nuclear button because they are centralized on themselves.
To conclude, Donald Trump and Kim Jong behave like teenagers especially that they speak on twitter...

  14. Hi everyone !
To my mind, I think both presidents are irresponsible and they don't think about the consequences their acts can have. We're talking about bombs that can kill millions of people and they are arguing like childs. They don't even deserve their position of leader.
To continue, Donald Trump's behaviour is really provocating, as always. He's trying to afraid the North korean dictator, but I think that it's just going to make him angry and push him to act. And if a "bomb war" starts between the two countries, it can affect the whole world. US president should just calm down, take attention to his country and stop posting ridiculous tweets.
Plus, the USA are very powerful and have an influence on the whole world, so many countries would be concerned by the conflict if a war started. And that's very dangerous.
Finally, I hope both leader won't press the button, as the consequences would be disastrous...

  15. Hi everyone,
To my mind Kim Jong Un isn't that bad that we are thinking. He is a dictator that's sure but I think he wanted to protect his country. In this case, Trump is an idiot, cause he reacted like a child: you know, it's like a dispute between brothers and sisters.
I guess Trump have a problem with his ego. He is the US president so perhaps that the power made him lose his mind or something like that.
I have the feeling that Trup and Kim Jong Un are in their world: "they don't think about consequences their acts have" like said Marie Jaffé.
At the moment, I'm really scared to see that presidents/dictators can destroy the world just by pressing a simple button.
