  1. I won't be able to vote next sunday because I'm am not an adult yet.
This is the reason why I can't wait to grow up. I've started to give interest in politics some years ago when I realized, elections weren't as far as I thougt for me.
I think we have a lot of chance to have the right to vote in France. And as a girl I even more considerate this chance.

  2. Hello,

For me to vote is part of the citizen's duty, so it is important to vote. In France, we are able to vote at eighteen and none of us (in our class) have this age, but we can have on opinion about elections.

So, if I could, yes I would go and vote. Even if it is only the European elections, it is still important to be represented on a European scale. Then, even if the list does not get the expected number of seats, voting is a civic duty. To use the words of a great man, this right only wears out if one uses it. So, I think that even if the list for which we voted will not win or even if we think that the vote is useless, it is still important to vote.

  3. Hi everyone,
European election will take place very soon, unfortunately, I’m under 18 so I can’t vote. However, it doesn’t mean that I’m not interested. Indeed, if I was old enough to vote, I would vote to Generation. S led by Benoit Hamon because his program sounds good. For example, they want to preserve the planet by using 500 million euros in order to create a new way to develop the economy in a respectful way. Also, they fight for freedom of speech and abortion, topics I feel concerned. In brief, when I will be 18, I will use my right to vote and I think everybody should do the same.
    Goodbye.

  4. You have to be really motivated to go and vote at the European elections. Historically, elections have had the highest abstention rate in Europe. The most motivated seem to be the anti-Europeans. There is therefore no way I am not voting! As for the subject of my vote, only the voting booth will know the secret.

  5. Hello everyone,

I am currently only 17, so I am unable to vote, but if I were able to I would vote, because I think that it is very important to express our personal opinion, luckily in France one is able to do so. I don't think that one should take it for granted, there are still many countries which have a dictator, and we have the possibility to choose our president so why not vote?

  6. Hi everyone,

Firstly, since 12th May, I am 18. Thus I can vote whichever way I want for the first time. That's why I will vote on Sunday.

Moreover, I heard that 70 percent of young people will abstain from voting. To my mind, voting is more than a right, it is a responsibility, a duty, even though these are European elections.

Lastly, I have read almost every program and I found some interesting. It concerns my future. Therefore, I am planning to vote.

  7. Hi everyone,

Next Sunday, European elections will take place. The election happens every five years in EU countries. There are 751 Members of the European Parliament.

Unfortunately, as I am not 18 yet, I will not be able to vote for the European elections. My mum, dad and sister (who has just turned 19), will vote for these elections. I read some of the campaigns for the French candidates with my mum and I found it very interesting. There are many candidates who would like France to quit the EU which I believe is a bad idea. To me, the European Union is a great way for many economically powerful countries such as France, Germany, the UK (before Brexit) to gather up, to remain peace and help other European countries. Although I think that voting for the European elections is quite important, I think it’s essential to have general knowledge about Europe and know and be aware of what the candidates would like to change in order to prevent from situations like Brexit where many British citizens didn’t know exactly what the consequences of the UK leaving the EU were.

Next year, I will be 18, so I will hopefully be voting for the European elections.

  8. Hi everyone,

I know that the European Election was meant to be soon but I never realised how soon it was, until now.
In my opinion, politic people is a bunch of liars that tempt people and lure them out of real matters.
But I think that European election is one of really interesting events, with load of different views of a subject given and I am quite draw to interesting subjects.
Also, I am only sixteen and we need to be eighteen or older to be allowed of voting, so I am not voting for this election or the next, I suppose.
However, I don't know which one I would have chose if I could vote in the European election, but I won't have given you names or which politic part I would be on, and like I have read somewhere: "it is for me to know and for you to find out." so I would have never say a single thing about it.

    Thank you for reading me.

  9. If I were old enough to vote, of course I would vote because I think it is my duty as a citizen but also because I want to be part of my future in order to look to the future. First of all, I think that at European level we must be more in agreement with the other countries in order to avoid any conflicts. Moreover, I think it is important to be united because, in addition to the borders that are becoming common, we are moving towards a harmonization of lifestyles. Finally, I think it is important to fight for ecology because, although this is a very important and urgent issue, it is unfortunately not the priority of all countries. Moreover, I find it scandalous that the environmental party is a separate party, because it should be included in the policies of all parties.
In any case, I will vote in the next election!

  10. Hello !
European election will take place very soon. As I am under 18 years old I can't vote. But if I were older I would have done it. As a french girl and future european citizen I need to vote the next election because I think every european citizen should do so.

  11. As some others have mentioned, we are still too young to vote. If I were an adult though, I would vote, because I think that the European elections are almost as important as the national elections: the European Union is a powerful structure that governs more of our life than many think. Moreover, the European elections have extremely high abstention rates, which makes it even more important in my opinion.

  12. Hello.
For this election i was not able to vote yet but now i think that is important to vote for our ideas and our opinions because we saw in these European Election that there is a lot of different opinions in the politic. In addition, for me this diversity in Europe is a good thing but because of this diversity there is a lot of conflicts in this institution.Consequently i will vote for all the other European elections to take part in Europe and show my point of view about the areas that Europe has to improve for me.
