A new school year is starting. What do you hope to achieve this year? If you are in Terminale, do you have any idea of what you're going to do next year? Will you maybe study in England? The USA?
I am currently in Terminale S, it's my last year of school and I personally really look forward to university because I already know what I want to become in the future, indeed I would love to become an architect and very possibly work in England. London is my favourite city, and I would love to move back there, it would also mean that I would be closer to my family. The USA on the other hand is not somewhere I would like to live, it's a cool place but I would rather go on holiday there for a couple of weeks then live there permanently.
Hello ! To start with, it seems to me that the most important thing in Terminale is to have good grades in order to be able to go the university or any kind of post-secondary education and study what one really wants to study. Of course, passing one's "Bac" is also mandatory ! I already know that I want to study law in order to become a judge. Sadly, it's not likely that I will study abroad, especially in the UK or the USA, as english-speaking countries have a completely different legal system (common law) as France and most European countries (civil law), so if I studied in the UK or the USA, I wouldn't be able to become a judge in France later... Hello! This year I am in Terminale so this is one of the most important year of my life I guess. In school, I would like pass my baccalauréat with honours as to be able to apply (and be accepted)to as many universities as possible. I’m still unsure of what I would like to do professionally but I have narrowed it down to two choices: architect or dermatologist. As an architect I’d get to utilise the artistic side of myself whereas in dermatology I would get to study biology which is something I have been amazed by since we started studying it in school. These jobs, both being quite different, require different studies and that is making choosing between them a very pressing matter. So hopefully I’ll have made my mind up by March when it’s time to sent out our application forms. Until then, I’m simply going to keep my mind on my work and keep doing research on what each of these jobs truly consist of.
P.S.: I would also like to obtain level C1 or maybe even C2 on my Cambridge this year.
Hello everybody, As far as I am concerened, for this last school year, there are two big challenges that I must achieve, first of all the A Level (Baccalaureat), and then to have a good report card for Parcourssup, I'm actually quite anxious about Parcoussup because it seems to look very complicated and above all it makes me anxious because I don't wan't to be sent at the other side of France. But I'm currently dealing with many people to be sure to be placed in the right way. I'd rather prefer to study in France for now eventhough working in the UK on in the USA is an idea that I like.

Indeed, this is the year where the real studies begin: we will specialize in what we want to do (and can do) to have a job that will please us and will suit us. So, yes, this year is important but for me it is certainly not the last.
Indeed, even though I’m not sure about what I’m going to do next year, I’m sure that I’ll do specific studies. Of course I have some ideas such as : engineer, astronomer but I don’t exclude many other jobs (doctor, veterinarian, military, architect, etc...). My main project for my future is being an aerospatial engineer because i would like to work in the space sector. For that I would have to do a prepatory class the next 2 years. But before thinking about this, I have to focus this year on my Cambridge exam, on having good grades for Parcoursup, and on my Baccalauréat.

Since my second year of middle school, I’m sure that I want to become a chief cook. I have always been passionate about gastronomy and this profession has become obvious to me. At the end of my four years of middle school I wanted to do a technological degree in cooking but my parents considered me too much young so I did a general degree. Then I started doing research on cooking schools that will train to excellence and I find Ferrandi in Paris. Since I know that cooking will be my job I built a strong file to be accepted in this school. This year will be very important in my schooling and especially the first two quarters that will determine my admission. I also hope that my level of English will improve to understand the Bachelor in Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship, which I want to integrate. Hello, I expect a lot from this new year, the year of Terminale is very important. I obviously hope to have my high school diploma with grades that correspond to the amount of work I do, especially in scientific subjects. My goal is to go to a civil aviation school next year. ENAC is the best of them in France, but it is a very selective school, few candidates are taken into the school. there are however many alternative schools, most of which require a very good level of English. So I may have to study in an English-speaking country to improve my English. Then I will also be able to go to an aviation school abroad.
