First of all, Ukraine obtained it's independence in 2014 but Russia considers that Ukraine is part of it's country, that's why Putin planned to invade Ukraine. I think that it is completely irresponsable to arrive to the state of war because it will just harm citizens. Moreover I heard that many infrastructures ,that are people's homes, were destroyed and that the Ukrainians have weapons to defend themselves that are given by the town halls. Kiev is the city that is the most affected by the Russian attacks, people have to hide in the subway with their children and their pets because they are attacked constantly with bombs and missiles. In my opinion this could end into an international conflict if the militaries of the other countries that are against Russia, will fight against the Russians. Thus I don't think that it is going to end like this because the other countries will not use violence yet, they will try to stop the Russians in other ways.
First of all, a thought to the families who lost their loved ones, peace to their souls. Courage to the Ukrainians! It's terrible what's happening. It's so sad this kind of thing in the 21st century. The situation that Europe is living is frightening. I think there are other ways to solve conflicts than making war. To see that all this stops.

Ukraine got a important part of her history shared with Russia but it's not for that that Ukrainians feel like their are Russians. Emmanuel Macron, the French president and UE one for 6 months, has reacted many times to make this war stops. Despite all his efforts, tensions are still here. Indeed, bombs are send on Kiev, Ukraine’s capital, and hundreds of civilians have been killed because of them. Economic sanctions have been created against Russia to make Russia President stop his attacks, but for now, it doesn’t work.
In my opinion, this is really interesting to follow all the news on this subject because I study geopolitics at school and it’s linked to our program. But I think this situation is very sad. People are hiding in the metro to avoid bombs and screens have been installed to entertain kids. Citizens miss of food and for now, they can’t leave Kiev because they are surrounded by Russians soldiers. Ukrainians men between 18 and 60 years old are stuck in their country to fight against Russian army. I am afraid that this war lasts and become another world war, a nuclear war. I have hope in the United states and in Europe to stop this war and to bring back peace in our continent. But for the moment, Vladimir Poutine doesn’t seem to want stop his attacks.
To conclude, I would say that this war is scary because we don’t know how it will evolve and we don’t know what will be the consequences on our lives. But I keep hope for a peace in the coming weeks.

I was frustrated when I first heard about this tragedy. I couldn’t believe that a war had started. During my childhood I used to live in Russia that is why this news had a big impact on me. However by attacking Ukraine Putin is not only devastating life of Ukraine people, but Russian people too. Multinational companies have already stopped working in Russia and various sanctions are imposed everyday. Moreover I am incredibly sorry for everyone who is going through war in Ukraine. I think the fact that no one knows how or when this conflict will come to an end is absolutely terrifying. It’s in this type of situation that you realize the value of peace.

I find this horrible because there are so many innocent civilians who are dying in this war. The bombardments are destroying many buildings and have a big impact on the economy of Ukraine.
But the Ukrainian president is standing up to Putin and not letting it happen, but I think Putin will eventually invade all the territory of Ukraine.
February 24 Russia started a war against Ukraine. For me this is the worst news that has happened to me in a while. I still can't understand how this could happen especially in the 21st century. The first few days it felt like a nightmare that will end once i wake up. Unfortunately today is the 61st day that such a nightmare does not stop. I wish courage to the civil as well as to the fighters who face the enemies. I hope that this war will end as soon as possible and my country will be at peace forever. Moreover, I hope with all my heart that those responsible for crimes committed against humanity will be held accountable.
