Hello. First of all my year 2021-2022 was really special for me since it was my last year of high school. This is the year that I will get the diploma that ends my schooling. Since I was a kid, I went to school every day, whether it was middle school or high school. But in a few months, it will change, and we will enter the adult world and it is quite stressful. I had a good year overall, but it was still pretty complicated because of all the work that had to be done so I don't feel like I really enjoyed it. The previous years, because of the covid, we didn't work as much. I still had a good year because I met some nice people. And most of all, even if I'm stressed to leave high school, I'm happy to be able to finally start the studies I've been dreaming of doing since I was a kid.
This year was really special, first it was the first year of high school that we did completely in class. It was kind of a back to normal but it was the end of high school. I think that we could say that this year was still really stressful with all the exams and all the choices that we had to make during the year. However I was less anxious than what I was expecting to be and this year was a calm year for me . Lisie
(Pauline Creisson) Hello! This year 2021-2022 was rather special, as it was my last year of study before studying to learn my future profession. This year I got a lot of work because it was the year of the baccalaureate, so there was and still is a lot of stress. I also had to make some important decisions about what I wanted to do in my future profession. I also enjoyed it with all my high school friends, despite the fact that COVID is holding us back from doing a lot of things. But it was also the first year since the pandemic we were able to take off the mask, which has changed our lives as a high school student. Overall, my last year of high school was quite good and I hope that when I grow up I will remember these memories of high school in a positive way.
This year 2021-2022 is the last year for me at Albert Calmette high school (even if I only did 1 and a half years because of the covid) I don't hide from you that this year was full of surprises, especially with Parcoursup and the relocation of baccalaureate specialization tests. Nevertheless, I learned several things during the year and I am happy to finally be able to do a whole year in high school. even though the stress for Parcoursup I hope to be accepted and especially to have my baccalaurea. Finally I hope to keep good memories of these years spent in high school with my friends and my teachers.
Today is May 16 and the school year is almost over. That’s why I want to share with you my second year of high school, more precisely in my English class. It’s true that this year has been difficult. New subjects, lots of homework, exams that await us at the end of the school year… It all took a lot of time and energy. Despite everything it was an incredible year. I met new friends, I discovered new teachers that I did not know before and the most important thing is that I acquired new knowledge that I did not have before. Now this school year is over and I look at the past year with pride.
As for English class, I had a great time and I could improve my language skills. During this year, we organized a Christmas party and it was really cool. We had a good time together resting after a busy term. I am very happy that during this year we were not confined as it was the case the previous year and therefore we were able to take full advantage of the year. The only impediment was the masks but the thing that was fun was discovering our faces afterwards. When the masks were allowed to be removed in March it was really strange. I had never seen the faces of some of my classmates before and I was really surprised. It was hard to realize that I spent more than 6 months with this person in the same class and that she had a completely different face than the one I had imagined. A new practice that I discovered this year is “the news” at the beginning of the class. I never experienced this before. I really liked it because it gave me the opportunity to express myself on things that I’m interested in and at the same time to train on my oral. To conclude, it was a good year. I want to thank all my classmates and our teacher for sharing this time with me. I hope that next year will also be successful!

Dear Diary, Today I want to share with you something important in my life: my school year (2021-2022). Unfortunately, during this year I was too busy to write about school regularly, so I decided to sum up at the end of the year all the things I wanted to share with you. To be honest, this year was extremely difficult compared to the last one because of the exams and all the (home)work we had to do. It demanded a lot of energy and motivation, but now I see that I made a huge progress, and I could improve my skills and increase my English level. Sincerely I adored and enjoyed this year and especially people I spend it with. At the beginning of the year, I found out I was in the same class with my friends: It was heaven-sent and SOOO excited to start a new productive (but a little bit lazy) year!! I met teachers that I didn’t know before and I made some new friends. I spend a really nice time with my English class and our teacher: Ms Ricketts. During this year, we did a lot of cool things: we watched a lot of movies that I adored (“Pride” was my favorite!), we sang some songs ( “I have a dream” was our song, we all loved it and it was our favorite) and we made some debates that honestly I didn’t really like because I’m a little bit shy to speak in class and it was so fast so I didn’t get enough of time to think about what I wanted to say, but it was very interesting to listen to what other students think. But my favorite day was our Christmas party: we did a “Secret Santa”, we had some snacks, we listened to music, and we also took some photos together (that you’ve already seen). It was so cool and cozy as if we were a family and I really enjoyed that day and my present (I had a gorgeous eye shadow palette, thank you, Steff!). We had a really nice time together. So now it’s almost the end of the year (May 16th) and I realized that the time passed very quickly and it’s crazy… I also realized that it’s important to give yourself a break because balance is a clue to the success! I would describe my school experience of this last school year constructive. This year the situation of the covid pandemic got better that was a relief because it affected the other two years that I was in high school. Furthermore, I learnt a lot about myself and the abilities that I didn't know I had before being under pressure with the baccalaureate. I would say that this year made me matured, because I have a better organization and it helped me to build up my mind about my future.
This year, my school experience was great as I had some amazing teachers and as I got to spend another year with my high school friends. But it was difficult at the same time because of an ongoing pressure to succeed in multiple tests and exams throughout the year. Whereas I am happy that I will now finally have my BAC plus, I am very excited for university and all the challenges that will come in my way.
Carla SAPPIA T06 This school year, 2021-2022, was important to me because it was my last year in high school. It was also important because it was the year of the baccalauréat. This year I liked it a lot, I liked my class, my teachers and my schedule. Now I know that I am working hard, which I regret a little bit, I didn't give the best of myself, because this year also a lot of things made that I had a lot of "bad mood", no more confidence in myself or others. During this year also, I could discover myself better to know in what I would like to go next year, which was not easy. I think I'm going to be sad about the end of this year since we're both going to college, and I won't be seeing my friends like I used to (i.e. every day). All my habits that I have built up during these three years in high school will disappear and I will have to start all over again. I don't like to change my habits.
Hello, my school year was very cool but this wasn't my best one. In effect I meet new people and in term of lessons it was the most interesting year but I don't have had enought time to go out with my friends and enjoy this last year. Last year was better because of covid, we have all the time between classes to go out and see our friends and it was easier because they had time too. Then I would say that I am very happy to leave high school to start new things and meet new people. Finally I really liked my first studies and it is because these times have an end that I appreciate them. It's important to change because I get bored quickly. I am grateful for the good teachers who teach us much more than their subject, it will be a good basis for our future studies.
Today we’re the 16/05/2022 it’s 11:05pm, I’m lying on my bed in front of my window. It’s almost the end of the day and soon of my junior year, and now I’m gonna tell you how my school year in my English specialty class was with Ms. Ricketts and my classmates. I don’t really know how to start it, so I remember the 1st class that we had it was a Tuesday and I was late, usually I don’t care when I m late but that day I was really stressed and scared because I had no idea of who would be my classmate. My 1st impression was something like “oh look at those girls are in your class or where are the girls from my class last year” so it’s immediately make’s me calm down. At first I used to be shy to talk in class but I saw that I were not the only one and I decided to try my best. And I think now that I can express myself in a better way. So the first term was for me pretty good, I started to like my classmates and feel comfortable with them, at the same time I was trying to deal with personal problems and I am still trying but I think now that I’m better than before but it’s not the main topic today so I will talk about it another day. My favorite moment in the year was at our Christmas party. It was AMAZING to see us together like this, I think that it was one of the best day that we had together and I will remember it for the rest of my life probably except if I have Alzheimer one day of course. It was pretty funny to find a gift and to discovered who had our names. Sometimes I have some flashbacks of that day and they still makes me smile, sometimes I wish that I could frizz the time. Also I really liked when we used to sing “our song” now when I listen to it it’s reminds me of our class. Honestly I’m thankful to y’all for those happy memories. Also I really liked the program honestly and the idea of news because we had the opportunity to talk and exchange our point of views on different subjects and sometimes those news becomes a part of our lessons. I wished that we saw more movies and read maybe another book but we just don’t have the time anymore for that. I really liked seeing “Remember The Titans” for the second time of my life because I think that is a great movie but not on my top 10. I would add something about our debates they were so so SO cool and it was really fun to do, I also wished to do it one last time. My favorite one were about gun violence and drugs because we all had a lot of arguments. Also I really liked to do the dialogue about Queen Elisabeth II and Prince Harry, some prestation were really fun. Honestly I had a great year in this class. I would like to concluded my little story with some grateful thanks. I spend a good time with y’all, y’all made me laugh sometimes so thanks for that. Ms. Ricketts, thanks for being a good teacher, with you this year I learned more than I expected, at first you were strict but now I know that you’re also really sweet. I really liked to talk with you, especially about series. So we’re at the end of my story right now and before I said good bye I would say one last thing “ been late is not easy every day but at list I have a good cardio”.
Hi, my name is Matthieu and I’m a student in Calmette high school in Nice since my first year. I choose my three specialties last year and one of these three is English. I really like this language and I would like to learn to speak it very good even if it’s often complicated. I think that’s could be necessary for my future even if I don’t really know what I’m going to do after high school. My teacher’s called Mrs Ricketts and now I'm going to tell you how this year went for me and the main things we worked on, without forgetting the atmosphere in the class. The year didn’t start very well, in fact the first day with Mrs. Ricketts, the first Tuesday, I arrived a little bit late and my teacher wasn’t very happy cause it isn’t good to do that the first lesson. But it wasn’t completely my fault, in fact before English lesson I had 2 hours break so I went home for lunch, I remember that I was in time when I left home and also when I arrived in front of my School, the problem was the people, there were too many people and I couldn’t pass, I tried to push to make them go a little faster but it wasn’t very helpful, so I just follow them to the class which is on the other side of the entrance of the school on the last floor. I arrived in front of the class and…everyone was already there, and my teacher wasn’t very happy so I was really angry cause it wasn’t my fault. That was one of the worst days of my school life. During this year Mrs. Ricketts taught us a lot of things and she prepares us to be able to continue this subject also next year, it was hard, but now I know that I can do a lot of things that I couldn’t do before, I learned a lot. The best moment of this year was the last Thursday before Christmas Holiday, Mrs. Ricketts let us bring some food to make a little snack in class, we also bring some presents, we sang a song and we also took a photo with all. During this year we also watch some films trying to relate them to each thematic we studied in class. I like my classmates, even if I still never talk to some of them…but I’ve a lot of friends and the atmosphere is very nice, so I spend a very good year in this class. I would like to thank Mrs. Ricketts for her patience and for all she has done for us, and I want to tell everyone who reads this book, and who think this subject is too difficult for them, that’s true, it’s not always easy but you’ll see that you will make good progress in that area and that all this will serve you for the future.
My personal experience is that of the year 2021-2022, a year with emotions, laughter, work and especially the baccalaureate at the end of the year. I did not necessarily stress or revise for the diploma, I felt able to have it, and after all the tests finished, the fact that the results will fall I had a little doubt that happened little by little but good for me I had it 100%. In the end I was right because I got it with 12.83 so the mention quite well.
