Since
the first terrorist attack happened in Syria, there
have been many more in places like New York, or France.
However the attack in Egypt
is the worst terrorist attack in history so many people were killed
that I'm unable to tell you how many. The worst thing is where the
attack was carried out :
the place was the mosque.
How
do you feel ? According to you why they (terrorists) picked a
symbolic, religious place?(Since they are known to be believers)
Hey everyone !
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I wanted to thank you for this subject that concerns all of us and is so current.
According to me, most of the terrorists claim to be Muslim although they do not respect other religions and, like it has been said in the wording, do not respect other Muslims.
I have the impression that they consider Muslims who do not follow their states of mind, as not Muslims. As a revenge they attacked this mosque, to order their opinion.
That probably is one of the saddest event and cruel decade concerning terrorism. That’s why it is so important to stay united, to show our strength together.
Lescure Mathilde
I totally agree with you, do you have an idea why they choose revenge ? Because many people are trying to understand them to persuade them that it’s a mistake and not « an order given from their god ».
DeleteHello everybody,
ReplyDeleteThat's a sad subject but I think that we need to talk about it especially because it's not only their business but it's an international problem. Even though terrorist attacks have been happening for decades in others countries, it's just since 2 years that we really felt attacked by terrorists in France. But we know that it's a lot more horrible in theses countries, as Syria or Egypt.
First of all, I think that we can't consider terrorist as muslim and even as religious. I'm not a specialist but the Coran say that a man mustn't kill an other because life is protected by god. To consider them as muslim is dangerous because it can pushes people to make amalgams such as: « all muslim are terrorists ». Which is completely wrong.
Furthermore, from my point of view, violence is not a solution and even more the terrorist attack because it create anger and war where we just could make peace. And the human being is very strange because the terrorists fight to have peace in their country and we fight in their country to give them peace. To my mind, all theses actions are stupid, we shouldn’t take care of their business like U.S. did with Afghanistan. In deed they started a war and when the terrorists attacked the Twins Towers in 2001 everybody was choked. I don’t say that what they did was acceptable but it’s understandable.
The attack in Egypt is really horrible and the fact that they attacked a mosque show that they aren’t muslim. It’s horrible and to know that they can attack us makes me scare and horrify me.
To conclude, I wanted to say that we should love each other no matters where he come from or who he’s believing in and I have a special thought to the victims of theses attacks and their family.

your essay is perfect but i noticed you made a mistake: you wrote "in deed" instead of "indeed"
DeleteI find that horrible and inhuman that people can kill it innocent and defenseless people. For me the terrorism should not existed and to be punished. I do not manage to understand their motivation and how the terrorism was born. I feel sad and powerless in front of these acts because there is numerous children who are killed without having even of it to take advantage. I feel worried also because the terrorists attack now even the cult places (churches, mosques), what shows that they have no limits and that they will can attacked whoever, whenever and wherever.
ReplyDeleteHello everyone,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I strongly disagree with the autor of the post. Indeed, you can't say that the first terrorist attack happened in Syria... Terrorism has existed for decades and we even knew it in France in the 80s. Moreover, I think it is important to remember that all the mass killings are terrible and that there is no "worst terrorist attack".
I feel sad for the victims, for families, for people fighting terrorisme.
Foremost, terrorists attacked Egypt beacause they have many targets. They want to destabilize the army who have the power. Moreover, they want to attack the tourism so the economy. To conclude, the choice of this religious place is not a hazard. It is a mosque with a Sufi Muslim community that is opposed to jihadism.

To begin, you must know that the stupidity of man is like the universe: infinite.
DeleteTerrorists are a lot of things, but they are not stupid people.
The stupidity is peculiar to the man and the terrorists are not men but animals, that I say, monsters devoid of any emotions, of all freedom and especially of all heart.
I can only be sad and horrified by the misfortunes that terrorists bring to their victims, but also to the families of the victims who died in these attacks.
Terrorists attack mosques, churches ... for one reason: they want us to convert to Islam.
Now, we, men and women, having an intelligence superior to an oyster, we do not want a frightful and not free religion.
To conclude, the terrorists hope, despite themselves, that killing innocent people, freely practicing their religion, we can change the way we live or never change.
So terrorists, the only thing you can do so that we change is to explode between you!

Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteI think the most important thing for terrorists is to shock people. Their goal is not to kill as many people as possible but to scare as many person as possible.
They try to destroy people's religion, passions and ideas. That's why they attack what we love. They sometimes attack mosques but they also attack european bars where people enjoy going to. We have the example of Paris.
They want to separate people to make their opponents weaker and easier to destroy.
That's why I think the best answer we could have would be to continue our life as if there were no risk even if it can be difficult.

First of all , terrorism happens everyday and everywhere by people who have real religious convictions .Nowadays , terrorists attacks are generally led by Djhadists who want to install fear in people's mind . As far as I'm concerned , all the terrorists attacks that happened are really inhuman, but all the people who have been touched became stronger.
ReplyDeleteHowever, in Egypt , it was a disgusting action , about three hundred people who died unfortunately in a mosque and as Mabin Malo already said , they want to target all the institutions and there, it is a strong religious place for Muslims and so they want to affirm their "power".

Hello everybody,
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'd like to say I don't understand why terrorists do that. Some people say it's political and some say they want to scare us.
Right now, I'm feeling really insecure and afraid that it happens here again. I don't want this to happen but we can't do anything. I feel so powerless and I'm really hopping it will stop one day. But I'm also hopeless because I think we can't change all the terrorists into good people again.
I think they chose a religious place to establish fear and hopelessness. They are known to believers, but religion forbids unacceptable things like murder and terrorism, so I can't believe they are believers.
To sum up I'm really afraid, and I think they want us to be afraid. I think we should be stronger and not be afraid of them. We should show them we're stronger than them.

Hello everyone,
DeleteI made a mistake : They are known to be believers and not known to believers
Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, terrorism is not a new phenomenon as politics want to convince us. There has been some terrorist attacks years ago. However, it’s true that terrorism has increased since 2015.
To my mind, it’s awful to see what humans are capable to do, they can kill other people in the name of god.
Besides, terrorists are known are believers but there’re not believers because otherwise they wouldn’t kill.
In Egypt, it was maybe the worst thing, lots of people were killed and it was in a mosque. It sounds to be unbelievable because terrorists are mostly Muslims and they kill other Muslims.
Nevertheless, we shouldn’t forget that Muslims are not terrorists only few Muslims are crazy and cruel.
As for me they shot people in the mosque to convey a message: everyone can be killed, you’re not safe eventhough you’re Muslim. It’s hopeless and harmful.
Finally, as terrorist attacks happen almost everyday, we have to protect ourself but without being scared. Our role is to live and to show terrorist they won’t be able to destroy us, because we’ll always be stronger.

Hello people, I'd like to share with you my point of view about terrorist attack happened in Egypt.
ReplyDeleteI feel truly sad for the victim's family because losing close family member is the worst thing ever; especially when some people kill in the name of fake values, in the name of divert Islam.
What I find shocking here is the fact that terrorists shall do something like that and say that is in the name of their god. It's completely crazy. They allow themselves to kill people and after that they say themselves believers ? Sorry but I find that really dumb. They divert Islam to justify their actions. They think to do a pure Islam but it's totaly the opposite.
I doubt whether terrorist attack stop now but we can pray for all the lifes pass away sooner and for their family.

Hello!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I would like to say that it is difficult to classify the terrorists attack and say which is the "worst", or not. I think that we can just say that it is one of the deadlier in the Islamic state history.
I feel disgusted by these endless attacks. Furthermore, it shows that these terrorists' goal is just to slay, even people having the same religion. Their motivation is violence and nothing else.
I think that terrorists attacked a mosque because the community who attended there strongly disagrees with violence and terrorism, they engaged themself against jihadism. By attacking them, jihadists wants to say that they are the only "genuine" believers, and the others are heretics.
Hugo Dupriez TS1
Sorry, I made mistakes: "classify terrorists attacks", "which one is the worst.", "in the Islamic state's", "people sharing the same religion with them", "nothing else but violence" and "that the others"
DeleteHello everyone, I going share you my opinion about this sad subject.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I think this act is an inhuman and a horrible act. I don’t understand why they did that. They killed innocent people. It’s so unfair! Thousands of people died each year because of them. They claim to be Muslims, to do what is good but it is false they use the religion to reign in the world. For me these persons haven’t a heart. They are sick. They make dirty Islam religion that advocates peace, it is unfortunate. I would like that those peoples to be punished for their acts, for all the people were killed. I would also like that all this stop.
According to me, the terrorists picked a religious place to make us react. They wanted to create a feeling of insecurity. . They think Islam that churchgoers practise it’s the bad part of Islam. They want to impose in world their way of thinking, how they see.

ReplyDelete- To begin with, sorry Hadil but I think that it is important to know the numbers of victims because it is a form of respect!
I heard on TV that there was a terrorist attack in Egypt and killed at least 235 people, thought to be the deadliest terror attack on the country's soil. In fact The mosque is known for being the birthplace of a Sufi cleric considered the founder of Sufism in the Sinai Peninsula.
- As for me, I am very sad for all the victims and family of victims, it's horrible to continue to live without a loved one.
- Moreover, I think they picked a symbolic, religious place because they consider these people "infidel" to the religion.
- Finally, I agree with the European Parliament President who said that " Acts of barbarism and hatred in the name of God are acts against God himself."

Hello everybody,
ReplyDeleteFirst, i don't understand why there is terrosrists in this world. They say that they do attacks for their god Allah. But if they kill people for god, they don't understand the religion. God or Allah just want peace in the world.
Second, i really hate terrorism and war because i want that all humans live in peace and have a good life. More especially, i don't want die.
To my mind, they chose the mosque because it's a place of worship, so a terrosist attack on this can shock everybody in the world. They chose this place because this act is visible all over the world.
For me, the one solution is to live our life like nothing was, is or will happened.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all I was very shocked when I heard the news about this terrorist attack and more when I heard that 305 peoples died.
The place was of course a srategic place to send a message.
I feel very sad for the victims who don't deserve it at all.
I think that terrosit won a lot of territory since years and I'm worried about it.
Even if I don't think that we have to live in the fear because he have to be strong against the threat and against them.
Hey everyone,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I would like to tell you how much I am sad for all these tragedies that happened and that continue to take place. How can normal people feel that doing this is right? Nobody, just because terrorists aren't normal people, they are quite simply not human. On one hand, I'm feeling very insecure because terrorist attacks could happen at any time and anywhere but we will never be warned. Therefore we only have to pray and to protect ourselves, because no one will do it for us. On the other hand, I will not give up because I think that is important to stay strong no matter the situation, we have to fight against this act by all means and not to hide; we must persist and show them that we aren't scared and that we are stronger than them.
Next, in my opinion, they picked a religious place to leave us a message, that is to say they wanted to "insult" the values of religion and to hurt believers the most possible. Indeed, I see eye to eye with Thelma when she said that religion forbids moustrous acts like murder and terrorism and that's why terrorists attacked symbolic and religious places.

ReplyDeleteFirst at all, I’m going to talk to you about terrorism. I don’t understand how this can happen. These people are happy by hurting others. They don’t think about the family of their victims, their friends. It’s very sad for them. In their opinion, by committing his crime, they act for their religion. They want to make a place for themselves in our society by imposing their religion.
To conclude, terrorists commit unacceptable crimes. It’s very terrible. These acts are inhuman. We leave in fear. I don’t feel safe because it can happen anywhere at anytime. I hope it will soon be over.

Good evening,
ReplyDeleteTo begin with, I would like to say that terrorist attacks exist for thousands of years, but they have become more and more deadly "thanks to" military and technological advances, including bombs and weapons such as AK-47 or kalachnikov, only made for mass killing.
Then, in my opinion, I think terrorist commit attacks to frighten the population and to spread the terror in the world, perhaps also to create civil war and discrimination between us, humans.
Finally, that's why we have to stay in solidarity, whatever our origins, and please, don't confuse Muslims with these animals who are the terrorist.

Good evening everybody,
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I want to say that terrorism is extremely cruel. I don't understand the terrorists reason, but after all their attacks we can see that their target is not necessarily to kill a lot of people, but especially to frighten us. They want to take our peace and freedom away, probably because of jealousy. I believe they attacked a mosque as a symbol for their belief and to send their message. As for the fact that this would be the first and worst attack, I disagree, because terrorism is nothing new, and there have been some attacks that were even more powerful. In my opinion this was very tragic, a lot of people died, but there have been other attacks that can't be forgotten. I think the only way to stand against terrorism is to keep living our lives normally. Obviousy we have to react to their actions, but we can't deprive ourselves to go out in the street out of fear that something could happen.

ReplyDeleteHi everybody,
To my mind, I think that we are all around the world touched by the case of the terrorist attack, but I also think that the French people and espcially the people of Nice feel more concerned than before by this terror because of what's happened these last years in France, and are more touched and understanding when these terrorists attacks happen in others countries.
And to answer to you, I think that there is a evident link between terrorists and religion, the terrorists fight to impose their religion and to show the terror, and for me the choice of the mosque by the terrorists can be explained by two reasons :
The first is because it's a religious place with a lot of people, and it's also symbolic for them to attack a religion to show their way of thinking.
The second is because they want to show that even the muslims, so the people of their religion have te be scared because they are not extremist/islamist they are just muslims. It's another way to show their extremist idea.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I would like to say the attack in Egypt in a mosque is a really horrible act of the terrorists. I do not understand how can we do this, how not to have to the conscience all its dead and how not to feel guilty.
Terrorists are people without hearts and souls, they have no religion but they believes they have one.
Finally, I think they attacked this mosque because there were plenty of people after to scare them and show they have the power.

Hello everyone,
ReplyDeleteAs for me I think this attack, as much as all other attacks was awfull. So many people died from every ages. I think we live in a world were "being safe" doesn't mean anything anymore. The fact that this attack was made in a religious place puts it to a whole new level, people go in a mosquee or in a chruch or every other religious place to pray, to be in peace and don't let any bad things enter with them and there, people, if we can still call them that way, destroy every thing and every one for one and only reason: hate. Terrorists have no believes, no religions, no soul no love, no nations.

Hello everyone,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would like to tell that i feel really bad for the people, they just wanted to prey and practice their religion so it's pretty disgusting to do that in such a place like this.
For me, they pick a symbolic place to make the world afraid of them and to show that you can be killed at any place, they pretend to be musulman but in fact they are just terrorist which is different to the musulman unlike the majority of the preople think, they don't have any religion, they just pretend to be musulman to describilise this religion and the people who practice it .

ReplyDeleteHello everyone,
ReplyDeleteWhat happened in Egypt and all around the world is awful. Indeed, there are terrorist attacks almost everyday which kill innocent people. In november, terrorists chose to attack a mosque which is disgusting. More than 200 people died and I was shocked when I heard the news on TV.
Moreover, even though they kill in the name of God, as for me, we can't considerate terrorists as Muslims. The fact that they killed Muslims in a mosque revealed their ignorance. In my opinion, they chose that symbolic place to set in an atmosphere of terror and because for them, Muslims who don't respect their « law » have to be killed.
Finally, whether terrorists attack in France, in Egypt or all around the world, they take lives of innocent people which is just horrible and my thoughts go out to the victims and their family.

Hello everyone !
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, terrorist attacks have started for a long time by now. It is one of the main topics in politics and in the press. We have heard a lot about it like in Syria, United States, Turkish, France or Spain. However, one of the most recent was in Egypt. It was described as "the worst terrorist attack in history". Indeed, it has caused at least three hundred of dead, but I strongly disagree with the fact that it was the worst terrorist attack in history because the government doesn't disclose everything: this is called censorship.
On the other hand, what it is unbelievable is that the attack was in a mosque. They claimed themselves as believers, as Muslims, but the attack a religious place. Moreover, their goal is to scary as many people as possible. Furthermore, for them Muslims people are the one who shares their point of view and the one who do not are considered as "outsider". So they attack religious's places to impose their opinion.
To sum up with, I think that it is absolutely unacceptable, horrible, shameful and inhuman to act like that. I feel terribly powerless. Unfortunately, even if this is hard, we have to stay united to show them that we are stronger, but also smarter than them and they won't destroy us.

On November 24th, 2017, there was a terrorist attack in a mosque of Sinai, in Egypt. This is the most horrible terrorist attack after the one in New York in 2001. Actually, there were nearly 235 people killed and 109 injured. I’m going to tell you my feelings about this and why the terrorists picked a symbolic, religious place.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I think all terrorist attacks are horrible and frightening. It’s terrible for the victims, for the victims’ families. Especially for the survivors, it’s an unforgettable event. They are shocked and probably they can’t have a normal life after that because it’s traumatizing. When this kind of event arrives, the whole population is stressed because people fear that it can happened again. Besides, the Egyptian government announced 3 days of mourning after the attack. I feel anxious on the one hand because it can happen again but on the other hand, I feel revolted that in this case innocent people died because they were praying and thinking of God.
Then, this attack is particularly horrible because it happened in a religious place which is synonymous for peace. I think the fact that they attacked a mosque confirmed that they aren’t believers in Muslim religion. They are fanatics and deform the real religion. They use religion as a means for recruiting people for their terrorist activities.
As a conclusion, this event is terrible like all the other terrorist attacks. However, it differs from them because of the great number of victims and of the place where it happened: in a religious place which proves that they are not real believers.

Hello everybody,
ReplyDeleteTo start with, I find it awful nowadays to live with terrorism. It is everywhere : it can happen in any countries, in any places, within a crowd of people, like in Nice in July 14th 2016, or just towards a few persons, like in Marseille against the two young cousins. So we have to live with it and show terrorists that we aren't afraid and that our life doesn't change because of them.
As for me, in Egypt, what was horrible is that people were killed in a mosque. That means that terrorists, who are mostly Muslims, killed other Muslims in order to show the world that everyone can be killed, even people from their religion.
To conclude, we must be strong and not be scared by terrorists even though we ought to protect ourself.

Sorry, I made some mistakes : "on July 14th", "just to a few people", "our lives will not change" and "what happened was horrible".
DeleteHello everyone,
ReplyDeleteTo begin with, I disagree with the autor of this post. Indeed, you can't say that the first terrorist attack happened in Syria...
Moreover, I think it is important to remember that all the massive killings are terrible and that there is no "worst terrorist attack".
Moreover there isn't a "worst place" for a terrorist attack, no matter where the terrorist attack occurs whether in a theater, an avenue, on towers ...
This mosque was known as a meeting place for Sufis, followers of a current of Islam considered as heretical by the jihadist group who support Sunni Islam.
To conclude, our role is to live and to show terrorist they won’t be able to destroy us, because we’ll always be stronger.

Hello everybody,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I want to say that terrorism is something just terrible and inhuman. Unfortunately, it has always existed and this, more and more, because of many reasons as religions, countries and so on. We are ourselves confronted to theses behaviors.
Now, to talk about this horrific scene, which takes place in Egypt, we can say that too many people die. There is no word to describe what the families of the victims can feel. The mosques are something emblematic, which concerns musulman religion and it proves to people, who makes amalgams, that musulmans can be potential victims too. We must pay attention to this.
Alicia Vinot 1ES3
First, terrorism is the use of terror for political, religious or ideological purposes through the use of violence and fear against civilians. Terrorism can take the form of a nationalist, religious or even revolutionary group whose purpose is to promote a group, a cause or an individual.
ReplyDeleteSeveral places have been affected in the world (religious, public, economic and military) in order to convey the same message: to separate people and create a kind of paranoia and mistrust between people, by installing a kind of perpetual terror. For example, on September 11, 2001 in New York, where many people were killed in various attacks and whose group targeted different aspects of the country (economic, military, civil) or even that of Paris of November 13, 2015 where this time, it is the public space that has been touched!
Regarding religious places, especially mosque, the reasons are that they consider practitioners (Muslims) as traitor to Islam ...
Unfortunately, no one can really understand why they do all this ... That's why I think the best answer we could have would be to continue our life as it's even though it can be difficult.
