Hi everybody,

  1. For the oral presentation in March, I chose one of Edgar Allan Poe's novels : the Adventures of Arthur Gordon Pym. It's a story in the fantastic genre that where wwe are narrated the adventures of young Arthur and his discovery of uncharted territories, and unknown tribes.
I chose this one specifically because Poe was my favourite author out of the five and this was one of his longest books so I'd have enough to write about.
I don't have a particular favourite type of book but I must say I really like heroic fantasy and fictional worlds like in Tolkien's universe or in the Harry Potter series ; I also like the realistic genre a lot : in France, Zola and Flaubert, as well as Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables", and in English, Dickens or Steinbeck for example.

  4. Hello !

    - As for me, I chose "A murder is announced" by Agatha Christie because it is the only detective story in which the date of the murder is announced in the newspaper. It makes the plot original!
    - Concerning my types of books, I like reading detective story like that or also realistic novel which tells the story of a woman like "Ms Bovary" by Flaubert.

  5. HI!
I choose "The body in the library" a work by Agatha Christie. I choose this book because since I begin to read I love the polar with a killer, a victim and an investigation. The reason is certainly that later I wants to be a member of the police force to solve murders. I was always attracted by this domain.
I look forward to discovering this book and to share it with you.

  6. Hi everyone,
For my oral presentation in March, I chose Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I picked this novel for two reasons: firstly, my mother really likes this book and suggested me to read it too and secondly, I enjoy reading romance novels, which is one of the main themes of this book. Moreover, my favourite genre is fantasy because I like reading about something different than the real world.

  8. Hello !

I picked « And then They Were None ». I’ve already read several Agatha Christie’s books, and I enjoyed them. Furthermore, the story is amazing ! I don’t want to reveal the plot, but trust me, it’s so unique !
My last reading was « Aurelien » by Aragon. Most of the time, I try to read books that have a philosophical meaning, or litterary classics.
I try to read in English! It’s the best way to expand my vocabulary.

  11. hi everyone,
for the oral presentation in March, I've chosen Agatha Christie's "Death on the Nile" because I remember that I watched the film twice when I was younger and I can't get it out of my mind because I loved the plot and the suspense. otherwise, Hercule Poirot is my favorite detective after the only one, Sherlock Holmes that as all my heart (I'm a big fan of the serie "Sherlock" started in 2010 with Benedict Cumberbatch).
Furthermore, I went to Egypt and I spent a week on the Nile, so it reminds me a little of my trip.

  12. Hi everybody,
For the oral presentation in march, I am shared between the novels of Edgar Allan Poe and the ones of Agatha Christie since I really like the fantastics stories and in the same time I appreciate the detective books.
Then, I’m searching a book which deals with at least 2 notions that we have to work on that could suit me, and possibly a short one because I prefer concise books.
Therefore, I rarely read even if I know that it’s bad but I actually prefer watch to TV series.
By the way, I’m really interested in stories that belong to the fantastic genre such as « The Lord of the rings », in fact it’s one of the longest books I read.

  13. To begin, I've been reading books since I was 11 and I love it.
I like all kinds of books: drama, action, horror, romantic ... But my favorite books are the suspense books, thriller.
However, I hate French classic books like Maupassant's Guy novel "Bel-Ami".
To conclude, after reflection, I decided to choose the book, incredibly well written, of Joel Dicker named "The truth about the case Harry Québert" for the oral presentation in French.
