  2. First of all, we don’t generally have the same equal chances because of discriminations such as racism, wage, homophobia, sexism and gender. Indeed, discrimination is the act of separating a group from the others by treating them worse. But what prevents us and allows us to have equal chances?

Firstly, the state has a major impact on our chances, equal or not. This year for example, some states of the United States have banned the right to abortion, IVG for women. But it’s not always the only issue of these unequal chances: deep-rooted stereotypes about gender and races for example, social classes, workplace and territorial origins are also likely to prevent us from having equal chances.

Secondly, human rights and justice allows us to have equal opportunities even if it is not always enough. But also struggles, fights and denunciations like the protest song “Dear Mr. President” written by Pink which denounces and addresses the problem of homeless people and gay people who are not supported. Indeed, writing is a good way to share an issue and to raise our awareness and convinced other people to act against discrimination.

  3. Naturally, we don't decide when and where we are born so, like other living beings on earth, nature reminds us that we have the same destiny as animals.
However, humans, unlike animals, have been able to evolve. This evolution pushes us to live outside the natural rules. Our empathy therefore encourages us to help the weakest, so it is our human qualities that allow us to be equal .

  5. In my opinion, the main causes of inequalities are discrimination. It is due to racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination that we cannot all have the same opportunities.
In order to change things, we need to change society itself and people's mindsets, so that gender, skin color or sexual orientation would no longer be a barrier and these changes would allow everyone to have the same chances.

  6. unfortunately, the color of our skin, our origins, our religion, our sex and our social category prevent us from being totally equal in society. It's outrageous but it is in fact. A woman of color, from a disadvantaged neighborhood and of the Muslim faith. Will be judged twice as much and will have twice as much difficulty as a white woman, from a wealthy family and of Christian faith.
what prevents us from having the same chances in society are the racist and discriminatory mentalities of a lot of people. but the judgments that these people make are totally unfair because we do not choose our family or our skin color or the place where we are born. the discriminated minorities will therefore have to fight for their rights, and hope for an almost utopian equality.
