Hi everyone! To begin with, I’m interested in the gun issue in the USA. Indeed, Donald Trump doesn’t want to remove weapons from Americans.
Moreover, the video is about the « March for our lives », a demonstration two weeks ago. Indeed, students were the most important people because only the youngest can convey and spread a message to the government. Besides, students wanted the president to protect their lives instead of guns. However, Trump wants teachers to have guns to protect students and themselves. This video deals with the problem of lobbyists in the USA. One should not forget that David Hogg, the organizer of the « March for our lives » tried to convince the others and Barack Obama also fought against the gun control.
All in all, to my mind, it’s important not to carry weapons as it is dangerous nevertheless, the gouvernement won’t accept the students’ proposal. Lena Szepetowski, TS2
Hello, To start off, this video is about one of the most controversial subjects in the world as of today, gun control. In the video, we see that gun control is often at it's maximum right after some kind of attack and it is quickly over in just a matter of days. The video also shows us the part that teens play. American teenagers are the ones that will be making a difference. They use social medias as a platform to expand their thoughts and opinions.
I'd like to conclude by saying that this problem is not an understatement, the US Government has to seriously take matters into their own hands because they can't allow themselves to let any other lives go.

The were also claiming their intention to be safe at school, this was done avoiding any political association. They maintain the debate on gun control in the top news longer than ever.
In USA, the NRA is very powerful. It influences, the gouvernement thanks to lobbying and economic support to various senators. Because of that, the laws didn’t change since a long time. Barrack Obama tried hard to change the law, but the NRA was stronger than him. Today, public opinion tries to change but in USA, a lot of American loves to detain a gun, a rifle... The actual president, Donald Trump, disagreed with Obama and he will certainly not continue to attack the NRA as Obama did.
To conclude, I think that in USA, the gun control is a very difficult issue. The NRA is very powerful but I think that people have to fight against it to promote safety. Pro-guns claims that guns do not kill people, but only people can decide to kill someone else .By reducing the number of weapons the risk of mass shouting happening will certainly also decrease, and make USA safer.

First, I’d like to say that gun control is a subject that is really talked about since the shooting in Marjorie Douglas Stoneman High School in Parkland, Florida.
This video is about gun control. It shows that a lot of people google search “gun control” after mass shootings, like in San Bernardino in 2015. But after a week, nobody searches it, except when political leaders keep gun control in the public spotlight. However, after the shooting in Parkland, gun control was a subject that stayed longer in the spotlight, especially the day students demonstrated in the streets and the day Donald Trump got involved himself. This time, innocent students were attacked for no reason, and it gives them a lot of power, and that’s why the subject stayed longer than other shootings in the spotlight. It also did thanks to the use of social media.
I hope that politicians will do something about the gun laws in the United States, but I don’t think they will do it because the gun lobby is too powerful in this country.

I'm really chocked that american can buy weapons when they want, but I'm litteraly devastated when i see that american want to arm teachers / professors. I just don't understand why the american government don't want to forbit weapons. I think weapons are the principal problem of terrorist attack in USA. The government and thepresident said that weapons can protect people but that's not true. Moreover, we can't solve the problem of violence with violence. I hope that youths americans will win the fight against "gun control" because just them can win it. This is crazy, the world is really going wrong. At the moment, I'm really worried about the future of the world. The fight against "gun control" is in a good way for some states, cause they saw after a terrorist attack that sell weapons wasn't the solution.

It shows especially that the power of student and young victims is now well heard. the victims are very young in the universities and colleges and the movement of young people grow up strongly to ask to stop arming murderers. As I'm concerned, I'm totally against have weapons at home because it's so dangerous to give for example a gun to a person we don't know his or her intentions. Hello, The right to own and carry a firearm is guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.
I think it's very disturbing that americans can buy weapons when they want, and can keep them in their homes. Furthermore, Donald Trump wants to arm the teachers. It could be a good idea if a terrorist come to school and maybe the teacher can protect his students but we don't know the teacher's personality, he can be dangerous. Even if the students demonstrate, I think that Donald Trump doesn't listen and that he only takes his opinion into account.
