  1. Hello everyone,
I’m not very interested by the royal families because I think it’s archaic how royalty is defined by the blood. I find this political system too old and it’s difficult to understand why the British community accept to pay for members of the royal family. The British society is hierarchical because the royal family is above random people. Moreover the royal family must keep a clean and controlled apparence because of the precise image they have to send back. Then, they have no particular political role and are depending on taxes paid by their subjects.
Recently, Harry and Meghan announced their desire to abroad without asking for the Queen’s agreement. They would have been pushed by Prince Charles who would have said that the British will not continue to pay for a younger prince.

  2. Hello,

Royal families like the British one are complex and have to deal with a lot of mediatic problems like we saw with the big politic shock : Meghan Markle.
This subject «  royal families » is very interesting for me when we look at it with a critic point of view.In fact Meghan Markle aka the Duchess of Sussex is the offspring of the royal family because of her past carrier. She was an actress knew with a role in « Suits » a famous serial about lawyers. In addition she is not a noble and she is now a members of the British royal family and the main aspects is about her impact on the public opinion, medias are harass her because she is not a noble, a new members and had a past with a lot of polemics.
But there is another aspect she is the only black skin of the royal family and the persecution she is undergoing is for me absolutely intolerable and related to her skin color.
The last aspect shows a very vicious aspect of this royal family because they shows in the past an image very conservationist and outdated.

  3. Hello,
Personally, I am not really interested by the British or Spanish royal families. I recently saw in the newspapers that Harry and Meghan gave up their prominent role in the British royal family, which created a huge shock for the English. However, I don't find it shocking because after all it's their private life and if they want to do what they want without always depending on "the royal family" it's their choice and it must be respected. Indeed, the royal family is a hierarchy and it's not always easy to accept to follow its descendants and to have to assume the role which is therefore assigned to us from birth.

  4. Hello,

Some people are obsessed with royalty as well as other ones are obsessed with actors or singers or other celebrities. They are considered fans. We all have dreams of wealth and fame, happiness, style and social influence and so on, which we dreamed of from a young age with fairy tales. At the end of most fairy tales the hero has a quiet life without any problems. For my part, I am not at all obsessed with royal families. Because in France we do not have a royal family, we do not know exactly what their role is. It is unclear. I know that it is part of their history but the King or the Queen does not govern, he only guarantees the Constitution. They must accept the liberal democracy and pluralism of the country in which they live. They have a Prime Minister to govern their country. Members of the royal family often represent their country and also play an important role in supporting and encouraging the public and charitable sectors. For the rest, I don't know much about it. Near Nice, we have the principality of Monaco where the prince seems to govern although many people decide in place of Albert II. My mother told me that when she was young, a lot of gossip magazines talked about this family which was famous for it. Today, I don't even know anything about this family. And about the Spanish royal family, I don't know anything. So no, I'm not very interested in royal families.

  5. Hello,
The British royal families has an amazing history and family tree which never stopped to extend. Indeed the Royals was linked to the last Tsar of Russia and many other monarch in Europe. All stories about them are really interesting. The royals dominated the world at the time, for exemple Lord Mountbatten was the last Viceroy of India. To my mind all British history is really fascinating especially concerning the royals. Institution like the British monarchy is also kind of nice because there are so many traditions as regards the Royals. They have become a symbol more than heads of state. Moreover, their evolution is really interesting, some rules which are now too restrictives are changing. For exemple Diana has provide lots of changes and I think that It is really fascinated to see that at this time Harry and William could marry who they want to, and they also could divorce if they want to. This progress show that The Royals evolve from year to year and that’s why I am so interested in them. Indeed I read a lot of books about them when I was in middle school. I also watched all the documentaries and tv shows that exist about them and I follow their news. I think, I am kind of obsessed with them and their history.

  6. Hey,
I must say, I don't know much of anything about any royal families: I can sum it up in about two points; I know what I have learnt in English class, and I have heard that the Danish royal family is the oldest in Europe (though I don't know whether that's true). As you can probably guess from my answer up to now, no I'm not particularly interested in modern royal families. What I do think is somewhat interesting is the impact of royal families in history. One such example is the impact of the Hapsburg family on all of Europe (Spain included).
So, to conclude, I am not interested in any modern stories about royal families, though their impact on history I sometimes find quite interesting.
