  1. Contraceptive pills really be free (and anonymous) for women under 25.
The age has been limited to 25 years because "it is an age that corresponds, in terms of economic life, social and income".
It will be implementing on January 1, 2022. The measure will cost approximately 21 million euros annually.
The health insurance would cover 100% of the cost of contraception and the ressources to make them.

-"Contraceptive pills will really be free..." --> I forgot "will"
-"It will be implemented..." --> "implemented"

  2. I think it's probably the taxable people who pay the taxes. Thus, as always, it is never really free because some people will indirectly pay for it.

  3. Hello, the contraceptive pills will be really free for the young girl and women thanks to the social security. But we know that the social security function with 15% of workers’ wages and 26% of the corporate money, the contraventions and alcool, tobacco and starch game taxes. So we understand that contraceptive pills will not be free but paid thanks this money. In other words, the contraceptive pills of the woman younger than 25 will be pay by the people I quoted. We understand the contraceptive pills is not at all free, just paid by other people for help de young women

  4. Olivier Véran announces free contraception up to 25 years old from January 1, 2022. This will concern 3 million young women. The 1st and 2nd generation pills, as well as the consultation with a practitioner or a midwife and the biology exams will be fully reimbursed by social security. Until now, supplementary health insurance has been contributing 30% to these health costs.
This measure will allow women who do not have supplementary health insurance, not to pay the user fee.
Funding will be provided by the Social Insurance. So this measure is not free and should cost 21 million euros.

  5. According to the government free contraception will be free thanks to the social security.
We know that social security is composed of workers’taxes and social contributions
So we understand pills for young women are not totally free but they are paid with other’s people money. Now it covers 100% of the costs ( pills, biologie exams, consultations) contrary to the last Few years where it was only supported at 70%.

  6. From January first of 2022, contraception will be free for women under 25 years.
The health insurance will cover 100% the cost of contraception but only hormonal contraception will be repay like first and second generation pills. However health insurance does not cover third and fourth generation pills.
So in reality not all pills will be repay.

  7. Contraceptive pills are not really free because it’s social security who reimburses us. This organism is financed by our taxes, so all people contribute to ensuring that the contraceptive pill is free when it comes time to checkout, but in the end we pay it indirectly.

  8. Contraceptive pills will be free starting on the first of January 2022. 3 million of young women are concerned about this mesure. The annual cost to provide this mesure will be of 21 million euros. Health insurance will take charge of 100% of the cost of the treatments. But health insurance is provided by the contributions of the workers, so it isn’t totally free.

  9. Hello,
of course it's not free because the laboratories that manufacture these pills must be paid. Free contraception for women under 25 will cost 21 millions of euros per year. Like other aids, this one will be funded by taxable people.

  12. From the first january 2022 contraceptive pills for women under 25 will be fully reimbursed by social security. It is thanks to the social contributions that social security can afford this expense. This measure is not totally free because it will cost 20 million euros per year. Before this measure social security paid 70% of the total price and now it covers 100% of the total price. To conclude contraceptive pills are free for young women but it is thanks to the taxes that they have paid too.

  13. Hello. Olivier Véran has announced that contraception will become free for women under 25 years old. Indeed, for consumers, they will be free since it was announced that the health insurance would reimburse 100% of the contraception for these women from 2022. Of course, contraception will always have a production and sales price. However, the government deemed that women under the age of 25 could receive it for free. So yes, I believe that under this condition, they can be sold and fully reimbursed. But, evidently, it not fully free because laboratories must be paid.

  14. Birth control pills are one of the most effective and used methods to protect against unwanted pregnancies. Recently, Olivier Véran announced that from next year, these pills will be free for women under 25. So, the health insurance will take the responsibility to pay for these pills as well as for the consultations related to birth control. But, it won’t really be free as third and forth generation pills are not included. Plus, this project will cost the country around 21 million euros per year.
