  6. Dear Angela Merkel, the nineteenth of December 2016 had an attack terrorism in Germany. It took place on the Christmas market in Berlin (capital of Germany). Indeed, a truck charged at the crowd this day… It reminds our attack in Nice of this summer. This accident it’s made at eight o’clock of night. The final balance is twelve deaths and more than fifty injured persons. I would like to pay tribute to these people who died but also at their close friend…In this situation we know not which suffers most. The person dead during this attempt or the people who are still alive by knowing their close death because of this truck. Furthermore, what is painful and unacceptable is to make it during Christmas. Which is a partie happy and merry… But for these families which lost a close friend, their Christmas Day have of less happy or sag being who thought of it… There isn’t word which describes this disaster. But you should stay not in negative and to keep the desire to live and not to stop in it even if it’s hard. It’s necessary to be brave and to appreciate the life and to jump this obstacle. France supports you. Good luck and remain strong!
    The president of France.

  7. Dear Angela,
I would like not to have to send you such a message of compassion, especially during this period of the year, normally dedicated to joy and happiness. Unfortunately some barbarians have decided to devastate our lives again.
A few months ago, one of our most beautiful cities was touched by one of these mad men. He was driving a truck and killed tens of people, just like what happened in Berlin last week.
You, Germans, have supported us, when we were touched by terrorism in the past and it is our turn to show you our support and empathy.
After Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, England and France, Germany is now under attack and it's one more proof that the whole Europe is affected by terrorism and that we have to be united against that threat. This horror must be stopped. It's only by being involved all together that we'll have a chance to lead this fight to an end. Europe is strong and our children deserve to live in a safe world. However life must go on and I wish you the best for 2017.
With my best and warm regards.
    François

  15. My condolences to this tragedy which caused 9 deaths, including several children, and many wounded at the Berlin Christmas market.
French citizens weep for their Germanic neighbors and especially understand them after the terrible attack that has touched France in recent years: Charlie Hebdo, Bataclan and the most similar, the crazy truck of Nice.
On behalf of Europe we must continue to try to protect our citizens as best we can and fight the madness of terrorism together!

    The French President
