I, as a student, am quit happy to have less exams to prepare for this year. But when I start thinking more deeply about that, I realize that it's not truly better for us, as in general, or at least in the cases that I have observed, people have better marks on exams than throughout the year, because exams are like a goal, which they take more seriously. Unlike last year, The Minister has announced it pretty soon, and it's for the best as it allows us to have the opportunity to give our best on school exams. So to sum up I'd say that this decision has been made for our sake and safety, and I respect that.

Hello! Personally, I am disappointed that E3Cs are being canceled and replaced by continuous control, because it takes us off some exams which were important for our Baccalaureat. Moreover, the second session of E3Cs was already canceled last year, due to the epidemic of COVID-19 too. Of course, if the Minister of National Education has taken this decision, it's necessarily because of sanitary conditions, which doesn't allows us to do these exams in security. Also, I think this calendar modification doesn't change a lot of things for us, for the reason that our continuous control is already part of our Baccalaureat since the last year. We will just not be able to train ourselves to be in examination conditions.

hello, the ECs are being canceled and replaced by continuous control. On the one hand, continuous control favours students. Indeed, it's a better way to show the real capacities of pupils. On the other hand, continuous control marks depend on professors. Thus, students are not assessed in the same way. To my mind, that is a bit unfair.
I don't agree with the Minister of National Education because the E3Cs are generally more easy than what we do in class. Also, the continuous control increases inequalities between students from different classes or school. To conclude I disagree with the Minister of National Education but he didn't have the choice because of the lockdown that prevent us from completing the program.

Hello, I am not for or against E3Cs being cancelled. On one hand, it is better for some students that have anxiety issues and do not do well at the exam because they are too stressed and it's unfortunate because they work well in class. But on the other hand, we need to be consistant and if we don't get good marks as expected, it becomes more and more stressful because we know every single one of them counts. In my opinion, I don't care much if it is continuous control or an actual exam even if for us, it would have been better to do the E3Cs to prepare us for our baccalaureat next year, it's better to make sure everyone is safe in the situation we are right now.
Hi, I’m feeling a little bit disappointed by the Minister of National Education decision. On the one hand, I find that the continuous control is more difficult and stressful than E3Cs because i think that learning once deeply is easier than trying to have perfect grades in every school subject the whole year. But on the other hand, I understand this change because of the pandemic which affect increasingly every high school. So to conclude, I strongly disagree with E3Cs being cancelled and replaced by continuous control but I completely understand why this decision has been made. -jade

First of all, I think that, as a student, cancelling the E3Cs is great and would take a load off our back. However, I don't think I can agree with the government in cancelling the E3Cs. If their goal is to reduce the number of people present in a classroom at all times because of COVID-19, that won't have any effect at all, since we're still attending school with classes filled with students to the brim. It is also important to note that it heavily penalizes students who don't get good marks and who aimed to make up for it at the exams. They can no longer count on that and will have to get better marks for the continuous control. Students are also put under pressure because everything they do from now on will be counted even more towards the Baccalauréat. It would be more reasonable to maintain the E3Cs, and to make them easier and with less things to study to account for the students who had trouble studying because of the virus.

On the one hand, i think is not a good idea because the students will have a better chance of getting lessons so therefore, they will have more gaps for the futur classes. Moreover, it penalizes students who don't get good marks and who aimed to make up for it at the exams. And on the other hand, it's good because we will not have stress during the whole year. Furthermore, we will have less proof to review. Consequently there are pros and cons.
I don't know what to think, I'm just relieved that I don't have that stress anymore. But thinking about it, maybe it's shooting myself in the foot. The averages are already not good in general this year because of a lot of things, so put it on a continuous control... I feel like it's more stressful now. Maybe it wasn't the right thing to do, but it's like this now.

I am really confused about the announce that E3C's exams were cancelled and as far as I am concerned I think that continual testings show students capacities better and our real level so it is more fair for all of us. But on the other hand, I don't see that as a good thing because according to the schools of each student we are not going to be equal. Also I don't understand why they cancelled these tests. In my opinion, I don't think there is a risk if we pass it because we could be one on each table including social distanciation, we will not interact with anyone. Finally, I don’t agree with this decision and if I could choose I would prefer to pass the exam. Eliah Nahon

Hello, On the one hand I’m happy that E3Cs are being cancelled because usually there is a lot of Baccalaureat exams and if we have less exams, we can focus better on the remaining school subjects which have a huge coefficient. Moreover, an exam is very stressful because we have only one chance to succeed whereas with continuous control, we have a lot of tests during the year so if we miss one, we can do better next time. I also think that due to the actual sanitary situation it’s difficult to work normally and we have to be careful to avoid spreading the virus. But on the other hand, there are pupils who have difficulties to work during the year and they had hope to succeed during exams. Finally, generally we have better marks in exams than in class because exercises are often easier and we have more time to be prepared.
