The Fortune of John de Courcy is a fiction story written by Philippa BOSTON, a British journalist, historian and author specialized in the medieval period.
In The Fortune of John de Courcy the scene takes place in the town of Oxford, in Britain, in 1582 under the reign of Queen Elisabeth Ist who was the daughter of King Henri VIII. She was Queen of England and Ireland and in that epoch, times were difficult between the Catholics who supported the Church of Rome and the Protestants who supported the Church of England.
