Have you been to theater recently? If so, could you write us a review of the play you saw? Include information on the characters, costumes and story and say whether you would recommend the play to other people.
- As for me, the last play I saw was the famous "candid or the optimism" by Voltaire but directed by Maëlle Poésy at the national theatre of Nice. It is the story of Candid, a young man surrounded by twenty characters all representing the different facets of humanity and during all the story he will cross entire countries to find "the best of all worlds". I really liked the staging, special effects and the actors because it plunged us into the story and the thoughts of voltaire. - This utopian play is difficult to explain that's why I recommend to everyone to go to see it.
Hey guys, are you okay ? I'v been to theater recently with my french professor and my class to see a comedy about djihad written by Ismael Saidi. This comedy is called Djihad. To sum up the play, it's a history of three mens, Ben, Ismael and Reda, who want to go to make the djihad in Syria. The director being also the central figure, throught this tragicomedy, he criticizes the ignorance more than anything. There were no costumes, the characters wore clothes of everyday. What marked me on this comedy is the final scene, when Ismael wanted to carry out a terrorist attack and that his two friends, Ben and Reda dead in Syria, returns in his head to dissuade him from it. At this moment, Reda explains to Ismael that the muslim faith is based on the love of one's neighbor and it's what is more beautiful in the play. It's why I would recommend to you the play, she is wonderful. 164 words, Marcia, 1ES1
Hi! The last play that I saw was called " Richard the 3rd " at the Theatre de Nice. To begin with, as for me the costumes was the best thing because they showed us how people lived in the middle age, in fact we were in the middle age and no in the 21st century anymore. Besides, I enjoyed the actors, their performances were incredible and they knew how to transport the spectators into the Shakespeare's world. However, the director was far from Shakespear's text that's why it was sometimes hard to get in the play. To sum up, I recommend you to see this play because it's interesting to better know Shakespear's universe. Moreover, the story is wonderful with the king whose aim is to destroy the others and conquers, being always sadistic. Lena S TS2
First of all, going to the theater is very important for our culture! However, although I went all the time last year for the "bac de français", I haven't been to a play since then... I think that, just like Clara, the last play I saw was "Candide". I agree with her, and I enjoyed it. Furthermore, there was a lot of special effects, and we felt like we were in the middle of the acting.
First of all the theater is a place for the actors to perform their plays and also to share a little bit of their passion with a public. I have been to a play recently who is called "Djihad" like Aymone, I fully agree with her and what she says about. To begin with the director of the play Ismael Saidi, he was able to create a comedy approaching a delicate subject. I really believe that they do an incredible performance however the actors was simple and also the theatre decor. The play is almost inspired by the true story of Ismael Saidi when he was sixteen. To conclude I would recommend the play to everybody the final message was that hatred is often rooted in ignorance.
Hi everyone, I went to see a play Friday with my family and it was called the Choristes. It’s a really famous play because it comes from a French movie ! To sum up : it’s about a music teacher who arrived in a boarding school to keep an eye on difficult children. Sadly the director is really strict and mean with the students, he punishes them all the time. However Mr. Mathieu, the new teacher, wants to help those children and demonstrates that school can also be fun. That’s how he decides to create a choir. The children are finally trusting him and they do a lot of things together... Well I will not tell you the end of the story in case you didn’t see the movie. I my opinion the children are beautiful singers and I wish a could sing like them ! I really liked this play because there is a lot of emotions and it ends well ! I recommend it.
Hi everybody !! First, theatre is very often interesting since it’s enjoyable, funny, emotional or even just a way to learn things and increase our knowledge. As for me, the last theatre play I attended was in June in Nice oldtown. It was called : « matière à rire » which could be translated as something like « time to laugh ». The play was inspired by Raymond Devos, and composed of various sketches he performed in several one man shows. The director was Jean Corso and the main actors were Jacqueline Boukaia, Jean Corso, Anne Deiss, Robert Moulon, Carole Rossi, Carlos Tauroni and at the piano: Catherine Fouchet. I truly enjoyed this entertainment: most of the time it was hilarious. Therefore I highly recommend you this great humourist. Amaury Ts2
Hi ! Let me tell you about my exit to the theater that happened today. In fact, this morning, I went, with my class and my French teacher, to the theater "TNN" to see a show called "?" and to meet the actors. I enjoyed it because it was about future, about new technologies and how we will live tomorrow. Furthermore, it was realistic and funny at the same time. Benjamin 1S5
Hi everybody ! The theatre is a very good place to share your point of view about actuality or a thematic. Today, I went to the theatre to see "point 'interrogation". I was captivated by the representation. They were 4 characters and they spoke about the future. The objects are white and red as characters' costumes. They were shouting, moving a lot to captivate the public. They were a lot of objets hanged at the ceiling. The actors mentioned ideas of crazy innovations that wil be able to be created in the future. With irony, this innovations permit to highlight all of problems in the world and all of future problems. They spoke about politics, environment, food... I appreciate this play because it was engaged to the protection, anticipation and awareness of the world's problems. I think this kind of play can help some people to understand the actual problem and the solutions and the lyings. That's why I recommended to see this play ! Théo P. 1eS5
I was to the National Theater of Nice this morning with my class and my French teacher to watch a comedy called « question mark ». Two actresses et two actors were on the stage. The main subject of this play was: « Will there be a future? ». And the actors answered to 15 questions about that. I remember some of those questions about the future like : « Will school still exist? », « What will we eat? », or even « Will books still exist? ». The aim of the play was to question ourselves about the future in which we will live. The actors were imitating different situations to answer these questions. One of the actresses particulary impressed me at one moment when she was playing a little girl and she did it perfectly! Concerning the scenery, which was the same during all the play, many objects were hanging from the ceiling on threads and the actors caught them to use them. The red colour was particulary present on the stage because a lot of abjects were red and the costumes too. I think this play is funny but it's more a play for children than a play for teenagers but if you like this kind of subject go to watch it, it's worth it!
Yesterday, I went to the theater with my class to watch "Dom Juan et les clowns". I really enjoyed the play, because the actors were great, and I think the clown's metaphor is interesting. The director of the play said she imagined it with clowns because Dom Juan is kind of ridiculous and funny. Moreover, the actors played in a red circle wich looks like a circus floor. The actor who played Don Juan was my favorite, because I really liked his acting and his voice was captivating. I enjoyed the play, but there were a lot of children in the room. They were actually cute, but they were sometimes so annoying, yelling everytime the actors were asking a question. Well, I think we can't really blame them, they're just children. To sum up the play was very good and I spent a really great time.
Hi everybody, Wednesday 18th i went to theater with my class to watch the play of "point d'interrogation". It was about four persons who have been selected for a social experimentation. Their goal was to think about the future. This play belong to comical gender. Actors were great, and i think the play have a lot of potential because the bigger part of the play was just improvisation of actors. At the end of the play a meeting was organised by the theater between actors and students. Students asked some questions and actors answered them. I found the play "point d'interrogation" very interesting and diverting.
Hello Last time i saw a play of theater was my first time too. It was last year. The play was called « eat parade ». It tooks place in a cooking contest. The characters were the participants and they had to cook a meal without meal. During the play, the actors really cooked and they talked about a lot of food subjects : the veganism, the industrial products, the food, the food with stem cell. At the end, we could go on the scene and eat the food which was cooking by the actors. It was really funny, I laughed a lot and it made me think a lot. I recommend this play to everyone. I am not a huge fan of theater and I haven't been there for a while but last time was a year ago with our french teacher. It was a play about african immigrants on a boat. The whole story took place on a small boat and it was mostly very realistic. They talk about their dreams, their fears and their motivations. There was not any amazing costumes or anything like that but it was quite a play based on emotions. You have to put yourself in their shoes to understand what they've really been through. The all time long you can feel their fears and angers that's why I think the characters were very realistic. I would highly recommand it even if I think it will be a bit to late but it was very good played and the story was quite actual so I found it very interesting to watch. Thomas Chamonin
Hello everyone ! Last time, just before the holidays, I saw with my class and my french teacher a play of theater « Dom Juan et les clows » staged by Irina Brook. I very enjoyed it because it was very distracting and fun. Also, I have better understand the story of the play. I love the metaphor whith the clowns because it brings humor to the play. Hello everyone ! The last time I went to the theater was during the holidays. I saw "La vraie vie" in the Theater Edouard VII with my father and my two brothers. This play is difficult to resume in a few words. Pierre, invites his former teacher of philosophy, Maxime, and wants to make a good impression so he changes the decoration of his flat but at the last moment, his wife enters. Indeed, she canceled her professional trip. When Maxime come in the flat, he is not alone, a mysterious wife, Soledad, accompanies her. Pierre is the average Parisien but he is afraid of making a bad impression. He is wearing a suit. Maxime, him, retired and became a person very relaxed. My feeling about this play is very good. I laughed a lot. My favorite character is Pierre because he is played by Guillaume De Tonquédec, a very good actor. It is for these reasons that I recommended that play. The last time I went to the theater was in april. I saw "Der gute Mensch von Sezuan" by Brecht, a german play which takes place in China in the 1940's. It talks about three Gods coming to a city, and looking for good, warmhearted and generous people. They find a Woman, which corresponds what they're looking for. The gods then present her with a Tabacco shop, to help her earn money. The Problem is, that this woman is too good: she, and her surrounding, live in poverty. Her generosity leads her to not being able to deny a demand. The people around her take advantage of her, and exploit her. The Gods then tell her to dress up as a man, which is supposedly the shopkeeper that is able to deny any requests. So it's the story about her, parting roles, and how she and the people live with that.
I found the play very interesting and fun. You could have a vision of how it might have been back in the day, and yet there is still an invented part.
