  1. This scene takes place in the court where the Prosecutor and Biko are in direct confrontation. It shows Biko's great rhetoric and his clarity of mind. This scene is a bit funny because Biko's remarks make his opponents look ridiculous.

  2. This excerpt corresponds to chapter 7 of our book (excerpt which begins on page 31). During this scene, Biko is confronted by the State Prosecutor and tries to defend himself. We can see the confidence in Biko's answers, who doesn't let himself be intimidated by the court. At the end of the scene, the State Prosecutor looks surprised but also ridiculous when Biko laughs at him saying he's more pink than white, which is pretty funny.

  3. This scene is a court hearing in which Biko is being asked questions about his own statements regarding the differences between black and white communities in South Africa. In his answers, he is defending black people and insisting on the violence used on them by the white society which is considered as normal. He also puts forward to the judge his idea and desire of having an identity and a place for all the black people in the country. I am personally really impressed by this man with his courage to confront so confidently a group standing in power.
