The USA delivered the first passport with the gender "X" to a person who identify with none of the traditional genders (feminine, masculine). What do you think about this ?
I am delighted to hear about the initiative taken by the USA to create a passport with the gender "X" because it really depicts their concern for people who don't fit in any of the traditional genders. It equally sets an example for other countries and encourages them to take the same step. After all, we are now living in the 21st century and we should respect everyone's identity and choices. Whereas, in my opinion, we should've come up with this decision way before but it is never too late to do what's right.
I think this is a very good thing, because many people nowadays do not identify with traditional gendre. So USA made a good decision and in my opinion other country must take that decision, because the world is changing and we must accept that.
I think this is a good decision, because all genders have to be represented in our society. All people are different and not longer identify with traditional gender. We all have the right to live a normal life like others even if we are not in the standards of the society. So this passport is an important step and show the way for other countries to open up and do the same.
I think it’s a relevant thing and show country evolve with our world. In fact we all know society evolve constantly, concerning perception of gender, relation between people, place of woman… so for me that choice prove USA want to correspond at the population and it’s a necessary thing for an adequacy between country and population!
I think the idea to create the new passeport with the gender "X" is really cool because it permits people to feel more comfortable and be free to express their identity. In my opinion we should respect everyone's choices and do our best so that everyone can live comfortably and peacefuly. I'm glad that the USA government make progress and I hope that other countries will support this idea and get inspired and encouraged to do the same.
In my opinion that is a huge step forward because it assimilates to the society that we are heading to. Those changes are essential because a lot of people don’t identify as a particular gender and will feel more accepted.
The fact that the United States issued the first passport with the gender "X" to a person who does not identify as a woman or a man. I find that good, it allows these generally misunderstood people to give them a chance and make themselves understood in today's society, full of judgment.
I don't really understand why certain people need this but it's probably because I am not concerned with this gender crisis. Thus, I think they should do what they want even if this new measure does not seem vital to me.
I think it is an excellent idea to add a third gender on official documents since not everyone identify as male or female. It is indeed important to include all identities and to accept that non-binary is also a fully-fledged gender. I just hope that getting an X on your passport won’t put anyone in danger since some people are really hostile towards non-binary/trans/gender non-conforming people.
I think it’s a good thing because society is starting to distinguish between sex (biological attribute that we don't choose) and gender (individual and social identity). It shows us that minds are opening, it's one more step toward respecting the gender choices of each person in the world because the United States is a very important country which could influence other countries to make the same decision. One day someone said me "I am pansexual, society has decided for me what I should be, but why not be what I want? I was born with a female genital but I didn't choose to be a "girl"." I agree with this person.
When we are born, we are assigned a gender, we don't choose it, nature does for us, we are assigned an identity based on our genitalia. But if our gender (so our idendity) doesn't suit us and doesn't correspond to us, we should be able to change it or have a new one.
Today, there are several ways to "change our gender" (feminine or masculine) such as cosmetic surgery, hormone treatments, etc. But some people don't consider themselves like a male or a female, in any case, the law and scientists will consider the gender according to us when we were born. The USA identity papers (passports, identity cards...) showed that there were only two possible genders: female/male.
That's why, I think it's a very good thing that the USA delivered the first passport with the gender "X" to a person who identify with none of the traditional genders (feminine, masculine). It also proves that the USA is open-minded unlike others countries.
It’s a massive advance for USA. Because it let the intellectual freedom for everyone and nowadays more and more people take care about their gender and for example we heard increasingly people who say that they are non-binary
Hello, Firstly, I think the decision of the United States sets an example for other countries. It may change mentalities and show we must accept people as they are. Moreover, for people who are concerned by this genre “X” it is a great thing because they could be how they really feel. United States, by making this decision, could break a taboo. To conclude it could be the end of a sort of stigmatisation.
hello, I find this new option offered is a big step. It will help people feel more comfortable with their identities. It is a means of promoting the freedom, dignity and equality of all people.
I think that this is great news because it proves that the United States is evolving and it is setting an example for other countries. We may be able to reduce discrimination against non-binary people with this kind of action.
It's a really big step for th inclusion of all people who don't fit in the classic gender categories. Nowadays, many don't fit in the gender that we gave to them at birth because of their genitals. So yes, I think this is really important. But i'm concern about the condition to have access to the "X" and how it would be apply for those who need it and want it. I really hope that it would not be an exception and that we will see more people get the "X" on their passports. For me, the fact that the gender is written on the passport is not the best option. It's seems unnecessary in any case because it's something personal that nobody can prove, also the person that say that it helps to recognize someone is wrong because your physic doesn't define your gender. But I think that "X" is really important for non-binary people (non-binary, gender fluid, etc..) cause it may show them that they're heard and that people start to see that they exist. Hi, In my opinion it is a huge improvement for this society but also normal. On one hand, it's paramount that everyone feels accepted and more importantly, respected. Everyone should have the same rights and be equal. But on the other hand, I do not think this is enough. It's well known now that there's a lot of different sexes and even more genders. One's pronouns can be, for example, she/her and identify as non-binary. To conclude, the 'x' is of course a massive advance in our society but it doesn't really do anything about gender and especially pronouns. But there's still hope because the USA tried to be more open-minded and hopefully, others countries will take the USA passeport as example.
Hello, I think it is a good idea for people with none of the traditional genders. This may help them feel more accepted in society because it must have been really difficult for them. I think it's a good idea from the United States to want to create a society that is open-minded to everyone's differences. Indeed, the fact that the gender "X" can be written on the passport of these people shows that they are recognized by the USA and especially that they are supported by their country which is very important.
I'm enjoyed to finally hear that because a lot of people suffered from this lack of attention towards them. I hope it will continue that way and we'll be able to find the gender X in every passeports
hey, I think it’s a good news we’re in 2021 not in the 15th century, we have to be more open minded, and accept all the genders and use their pronoms too. Because if the person in question is more confortable like this we have to respect their choices. And I think it’s one of the greatest innovations for them they can be represented with the gender to which they refer. In fact it’s not difficult to talk to them in a neutral way. I hope this option to have a gender x in our passeport will be soon available in our country and all over the world. I’m maybe rambling but we’re in 2021 now not i the 15th century :/

I think it's a great idea. It makes people who don't identify with the traditional genders feel included in our society. It also a way of showing that they are not outcasts but they are just like everyone.
Firstly the first gender X passeport was delivered the 27 october 2021. It is a very important step that has been taken because it is normal to be different from what society imposes. To my mind, include a third gender will permit to some people to feel accepted as they are and moreover they won’t be despise anymore. To conclude It will allow non-binary people to identify with an official status.
I think this passeport with the gender « X » it’s a good thing because every people who feel different are recognized. But it’s also a thing very general because between persons who they don’t feel women or men there are differences so this « X » put all persons who don’t have a traditional sexuality in the same category.
Provinding this new opportunity for people who do not identify as male or female gender is a good step towards self-acceptance and respect. These people can now completely live without the obligation to have a specific gender and they can live in a society where they feel accepted.
Personally this does not concern me but, I find it a very good thing, because many people at the present time, they do not identify with the traditional gendre because they do not qualify as being male or female. So the United States made a very good decision and in my opinion other countries need to make that decision because the world is evolved and we have to accept it.
