This is the beginning of the second semester and most of us will have to choose what to do next year. It's a very important choice that can determine your future! 

What are your plans for next year? What do you think about gap years?

Johnny Hallyday

As you know, Johnny Hallyday died last Wednesday. He was really a famous French singer. Would you say that he is/was a hero who promoted French musical culture:
He represented France several times, for example:
He led the French Football Team at the World Cup in 2002 by singing "Tous ensemble" but he also sang touching songs for  French people when the terrorist attacks happened. He can also be seen as a legend for the longevity of his musical career.
I know that some myths are attached to him, for instance: that he had an American father, nobody knows if it's true, but he always said that.
So I think that we can associate him to the notion of Myths and Heroes.
And you, do you agree with the idea that Johnny Hallyday is a hero? Explain why and if you know other myths linked to him, share them with us. And talk about him.

Terrorism

Since the first terrorist attack happened in Syria, there have been many more in places like New York,  or France.

However the attack in Egypt  is the worst terrorist attack in history so many people were killed that I'm unable to tell you how many. The worst thing is where the attack  was carried out :

the place was the mosque.

How do you feel ? According to you why they (terrorists) picked a symbolic, religious place?(Since they are known to be believers)
