I have the habit to post subjects on the climate or other things like that and I thought maybe you did not find it interesting, so what do you want to talk about ? In your opinion what would make a good subject ?

In my opinion, I like when we talk about the books we are studying in class because it allows us to practice in order to be ready for the test !

ReplyDeleteTo begin with , the subjects you took were interesting but I have to admit that it was maybe to often on the same topic .
Therefore you could talk about traditions in other countries so that we could discover new cultures . Besides , you could just create a debate between teenagers on new technologies or maybe on famous persons that we all see at television . However , try to change subjects every time and it will be great !

ReplyDeleteDon't worry Coline, all your subject are very interesting but I think that it can be more diversify. Indeed we always talk about actuality but we already talk about that in class when the teacher says : "News?"
So I think that on the blog we can speak more about our habits, our taste, our culture in order to knowing us better and creat links between us. To finish, don't forget Coline that this blog helps students to improve our level in English so whenever the subject you post it is great to talk about that together !

In my opinion, these kind of climate subjects are really interesting because it is an acatual topic. Our planet and her livings are in danger and it is important to care about these issues. But Indeed, we could also worry about other major challenges like wars, sports and so on... We also often talk about how we feel in France but it might be important to listen to how other people from the world see things. They surely have a brand new point of vew and opinions on the news.
ReplyDeleteI think topics on the blog are already pretty different, but obviously they could be way more by talking about others subjects of interest like sports, wars around the world, political systems, the economy etc...
These subjetcs don't interest everybody but at least it would give some diversity to the blog.

ReplyDeleteAs for me, the subjects you post on the environment or animals are very interesting. But, I also think that you could vary the subjects. We can talk about the actuality : for example politics as approaches the French presidential election or the actuality about famous people like singers and actors. To finish, you could take a subject that split the opinion because it is interesting to see everybody's point of view and to debate !

DeleteI agree with you, see everybody's point of view is interesting but it is difficult to make people express their opinions. You have to find a really good subject and have a lot of luck for that to happen. But who knows ? It might happen.
Your topics interest me but they are a little too repetitive ... It would be good to vary subject on the policy \ environment with topical subjects.
ReplyDeleteTo help you,the site "MSN" proposes the news in France or in the world, on many topics: sports, fashion, policy, people, lifestyle, travel, art, science ...another site that I love is BBC NEWS, it looks like the previous one.
Currently there are plenty of topical subjects: Miss Universe, Hand Ball, the "Penelope Gate" (or the Chinese New Year but it was January 28th, too late).
Personally I love discovering the traditions of other countries!

Hello! First of all, I totally agree with Coline that it's difficult to find a subject that suits everyone. I have the same problem; everybody rants about my subject but no one gives me an idea. So on one hand, I think that we could post difficult and less interesting subjects like politics or cultural subjects, because for the exam we may not have an interesting topic, so it's a good training. On the other hand, we could also post more personal things about peoples’ lives or sports, because pupils prefer that. So maybe for the future we could alternate between personal and political subjects-what do you think?

ReplyDeletePlease , don't talk about politics , I have enough of elections and François fillon in France and Trump elections in the United States and so on .. what about the other countries ? What do we know about their actuality ? Practically nothing . SO I think that we have the opportunity to debate on what happening in poor contries like India , Ethiopia, Japan or Peru . Think about all the things that happened in those places that we still don't know because we have spent too much time on ''the donald '' and all his band ...
No , you know what ? It is better to debate on how can we make a good chocolate cake ! I think that it is a simple but extremely complex subject and it is more interesting and useful than politics ;)

ReplyDeleteFirst, I would like to thank you very much to take time to think about subjects that could interest everyone. Your regular activity on the blog allows us to practice English and to discuss together.
I am on the same wavelength as Clara concerning actuality. I think that we talk enough about it in class or even with our parents and furthermore, we always hear that same things on TV and on social networks. This is why it could be nice to diversify more the topics and to, maybe talk about our personal experiences or our plans for the future.
As Clara rightly underlined, the first aim of this blog is improving our English writing, therefore, every subjects are good from the moment we express ourselves. I strongly agree with Eve saying that it is interesting to hear different points of view. I am convinced that there is no right opinion and listening everyone is a good way to open our minds.
Thankful for Coline's investment in her work.

However, I think you should post some debate we could all discuss about like, on films, Tv series, people actuality, music, things from our everyday life that we enjoy talking about, I think it will inspire us and make us enjoy wrighting on the blog but it is only my opinion.

ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned, I particularly like talking about actuality subjects because as we heard about them on TV, on the radio and in Newspapers, we always have something to say about them. Moreover, I enjoy reading other points of view. It increases your knowledge and it widens the way you think.
To conclude, in my opinion it is a very good exercise to train at argumenting about one's ideas.
