Today the Internet is something that is part of our daily lives. We use it constantly and sometimes even find it difficult to detach ourselves from it. The Internet has enabled rapid modernization and a major development in certain areas, such as tourism, telemedicine, geolocation and communication.

ReplyDeleteTo begin with, nowadays we have lots of new relationships thanks to internet. Indeed, we create links with person you don't know because of your common points, your same ideas and so on. Moreover it's funny to have virtual friends because you talk to the person and at the beginning you don't even know the person's face. However, it's kind of strange sometimes, and it could be surprising when you see her face for the first time. As for me it's a good thing to have virtual fiends, and I have some virtual friends but we met each other several times even if we don't live in the same city.
Nevertheless, I was lucky because some people on internet ( as it is anonymous ) aren't real or just psychopathe, killers... so we have to be extremely careful !
Moreover, internet is an addiction and when you become close with it ( researches, social networks), you are far away from " real life " and your friends, family that are really next to you.
To conclude, I have mixed fillings about internet but we have to go not so often on it, not to be dependent.

ReplyDelete- First of all, we must know that a social network is a social structure made up of a set of social actors (such as individuals or organizations).
- As for me I have different opinions about that; Firstly Internet is a good way to discover new cultures, new peoples, learn lots of things and secondly you can share your best moments of your life with people so that internet creates links. However Internet can be very destructor for some peoples because there is Cyber-harassment and it can lead to a suicide so like Lena said we have to be extremely careful. Moreover I must admit that to have virtual friends it can be strange because the first impression is behind a screen so it "erease" all real relation in front of a human (facial expression, feelings).
- To conclude, nowadays internet is part of our daily live, we mustn't be dependant and I think that internet have double face because yes it creates links but unfortunately it can also destroy many things.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I think that internet is the most beautiful platform to exchange and share things with your friends or people who share your opinion (if you have a blog for instance, the people who follow your blog have the same interests as you). For me, internet is my only way (and the phone) to keep in touch with my family who is dispatched all around the world. aAnd by all around the world, I mean Papua New Guinea, Guadeloupe, Spain, and many cities in France. And it is truly hard to us to see each others because when all my mother side's family gather together every Christmas, I am with my father, that I only see 3 times a year (only 2 this year). So publish on facebook, identify each others on statues keep us have a relationship.
Moreover, my father met his actual wife on internet twelve years ago and they're still together, that makes me think internet is really beautiful when you use it well.
Because secondly, the cyberbullying is a real issue to the world because it sometimes leads people to commit suicide or feel bad. You can also start talking with someone you do not know and you decide to see each other and it turns out that the person you were talking to is a pedophile or a psychopath.
In addition, Daesh enrolls young ladies to go with them through internet.
To finish with I have mixed feelings about this subject but I think that internet is a creator of social links beyond all.

ReplyDeleteNowadays, internet is extremely popular. Nearly everyone uses it, for pleasure just like for work but I have mixed feeling about it because internet can be productive or dangerous depending on how a person decides to use it.
On one hand, internet is great because it allows to keep in touch with friends and family who you may not have the chance to see very often, or it might even help you meet new people.
On another hand, internet has many negative aspects. Indeed, it can limit face to face communication meaning that people can spend a lot of time sending messages to each other threw social media but when they meet in real life they don't know how to communicate therefore I think friendships in the real-life are gradually fading. Moreover, internet can lead to cyberbullying (there is a film directed by Charles Binamé called Cyberbully which shows perfectly the results of being bullied threw internet), also it can lead to meeting psychopaths and pedophiles, like Garance perfectly pointed out.
All in all, I think internet can be, if it is used with precaution, a creator of social links.

But on the other hand, I also share Garance's point of view: it can be used by Daesh or some people with bad intentions. However, I do not think that Internet is to blame for these problems: they would still exist without it!
To put it all in a nutshell, I do not think that we should condamn Internet, we should condamn people who use this media to do bad things over all.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, we (especially young people) use social networks everyday and internet is essential in our lives.
On one hand, when we use it in a bad way, internet can be dangerous because nowadays, everyone is on his or her phone and is living a virtual life instead of living a real life. When we talk to our friends by snapchat or facebook for exemple, we often forget to look around us and we have the habit to be in one's own bubble. Indeed, we think to be connected and to talk with our friends but in fact we are just alone in our room... That's why, in my opinion, we should not use our phone when we have dinner with our family or friends because in that case internet can become a destroyer of social links. Furthermore, some people use internet to criticize others and this can cause suicides !
However, on the other hand, internet is an easy way to meet new people. In effect, thanks to some social networks like facebook we can easily talk to people who have the same interests as us all around the world ! Then, thanks to websites called "dating sites", some people can meet their soul mate. Moreover, internet is the best way to keep in touch with people we met but who live in an other city or country. For exemple a lot of websites enable adults to rediscover their classmates. As for me, internet is really useful to keep in touch with my family. Indeed, my sister lives in Paris and some applications like facetime enable me to see her, her apartment or even what she is doing.
So, in my opinion internet is a creator of social links but we have to use it in a good way and to respect its limits.

ReplyDeleteMy TPE talked about how the record of 100 metres in athleticism had progressed from 1991 to our days. It was easy to found informations because I have practice this sport for five years .I have worked on it with Julian and Enzo . As for me, the oral presentation was great and so, we used just 15 minutes for presenting our work .The first part was achieved. However, I didn't like the teachers . They both wear so easily distracted and they had not being reactive at all . At the end, I was a little bit disappointed but at least, I think we came through all.

ReplyDeleteInternet is a 21 century technology and it's a fantastic way to communicate, to exchange or to express ourselves all arond the word . But all things have a good and a bad part, this is why I have,like the others, mixed feelings .First, like Sky or Eve perfectly said ,Internet permit to keep in touch with our family and friends and it could be also a meeting area that creates at the end a lot of relationship .As for me, it's not my case but I know friends who meet their partner on Internet and now they are happy each other! However, Internet is an area of expression, in fact everyone can see the differents opinions, the differents culture or the différents feelings of people who express everything they want . But Internet is also a black face, it hide many corruptions and the worst activities that can exist like the terrorist activities or the cyberbuylling and so on . Nevertheless this international system makes more good things that bad things and I think it is a creator of social networks .
Internet is a fantastic discovering, it offers many advantages. However every invents has a negative side. In my opinion, it has completely change our way of having friends. I think we must try to stay out of this atmosphere, having good friends is really important in our lives. I think social networks won't help to creat friendships. Stay with your friends and don't spend your life on internet, this is my advise.

Internet so allows to discover new places for example, where to make discover we of the things whom we did not know, thus it are a real way of meeting and culture.However, certain people are unable to do something other than browse the Internet and it train a real isolation and a seclusion of this person.I think that internet is a amazing invention and that it is necessary to know without serving without being an addict there.

The Internet is at the same time a creator and a destroyer of links: firstly it allows nevertheless to connect all the continents, and not many objects are capable! As mentioned earlier, the Internet can bring families together in a certain way, and the dating sites (there are in 2000 in France!) work very well all over the world... On a large scale he is therefore a creator,but he also destroys the real social links around us:if you observe people on the bus, in the party, in the street and even some of your friends with whom you speak, they are hanging on their phone! Moreover, I don't like social networks because it is a totally virtual world: you know less than a quarter of your "friends" or rather your subscribers, and for the most part you will never meet them! Moreover, if we tend to lock ourselves into this virtual world, we lose contact with our true friends and our family ... Internet has so much influence that it has hundreds of qualities like hundreds of faults and dangers!

ReplyDeleteTo me, Internet has a big impact on social links. In one hand, the positiv aspect is that internet can link people together even if they are in different countries. It is also a good way to keep communicate with our parents or grand parents when they are to far to see them dayly. Futhermore, the social network might be a link between internet and the real life.
But, in the other hand, internet can destroy links and life. Indeed, if a person cares too much about Internet and forget to live in reality it must be very dangerous. Also, an exchange is always better when we can hear the voice, touch the person.
Internet has bad and good side. We just have to be careful and do not use it in a bad way.

First social media , internet is omnipresent in our society maybe too much sometimes.I have mixed feelings about it on the one hand it helps us to do many things for exemple school when you have a work you can find everything on the internet you can speak to people that are not in your country but on the other hand I think it's not enough, to my mind internet has more disadvantages than advantages.Now people who get bullied at school are also bullied through the internet and it's worse because other people are included and are not even involved in the story .Plus I do think it destroys social links days ago I was with my friends and I saw something delusional they were talking to each other but they were in the same room.As a result I would say that internet is not as good as we all think it can be dangerous and is not really helping us it feels like we're all decreasing and we are assisted.

ReplyDeleteOn the one hand social networks help to keep in touch with someone or to find a person we lost contact with. Moreover if we want to share an important event with many people it's possible by posting pictures and comments on a social platform like facebook, instagram or tweeter. But internet also allowed people to express there creativity for example when someone post a video on YouTube. On forums we can find answers to questions we ask ourselves or just people we can talk to and keep a degree of anonymity. However there is also the downside. Everyone benefits from an access to these social networks so it is not uncommon that some people, behind there anonymity, take advantage of it to hurt other people by criticizing them violently or even insult them.
The way I see it , fake friends who can turn their backs at you and make you live a living nightmare are destroyer of social links not Internet. This new technology wasn't create to hurt people but to make their lives easier. It is out responsibility to take care of ourselves and the others.

Here are some of my opinions as to the main benefits and drawbacks of social media.
First, the negative points of socials networks :
Cyberbullying can be a problem as people can take advantage of the fact that there is no one who can effectively stop the bullying when it happens, due to everything being performed behind a screen. The only way for a bully to be stopped is if they are reported and victims may be too intimidated to do it.
Social networking can also ruin relationships as people may get jealous if they find out their boyfriend or girlfriend is exchanging messages with other people.
It can also be a waste of time as people can visit a site to check on thing and end up spending the whole day 'behind the screen' and as a result, not doing anything useful with their lives.
But on the other hand, social networking has lots of good points
You can express yourself, showing off your favourite song lyrics or posting pictures of your new outfit.
In fact, it has become so much a part of people's lives that you can learn someone's life story just by checking their page.
It also makes it a lot easier to keep in touch with family and friends, especially if they live far away. But you can also make new friends by connecting with friends of friends that you might not know.
To conclude, I think Internet is an amazing thing but must be use with wisdom...

Moreover, it is a wonderful way of keeping in touch with friends who don't live in the same city as me anymore. Then, I believe the internet reduces the distance between people, for instance I've got a friend who moved to the USA and thanks to facebook and instagram, I was able to keep sharing her everydays life : she put pictures and videos of her house, her school, her friends...
Finally, social networks are very convenient because you can communicate with people very quickly, you go right to the point you want to talk about and you don't waste time introducing a subject.
On the other hand, you can become addictive to the internet and it can be a destroyer of social links because it can prevent you from being in contact with your friends or family who are sitting next to you. Also you can meet dangerous people on social networks who can destroy all your social life. So you have to be very careful about who you talk to and who you become friend with.
To conclude, to my mind, I think the internet is a great advantage in social links bearing in mind that you must be careful not to become addictive, otherwise it can become a social links destroyer.

ReplyDeleteAs for a lot of teenagers, I am addicted to internet, you can find everything on it: films, series, videos... Social medias are also important, I am not the kind of person that spends 3 hours per days on tweeter but I like to find some "memes" I can send to my friends, get informed or stalk my favourite celebrities. Nowadays, I think that internet is a very positive progress and ever though it can look individualistic and social link detroying, I personnally am conviced it creates likes and makes us talk to each other in another way than in 1950, for sure, but it is still good. People can discuss all over the world.

ReplyDeleteAs almost everyone, I have mixed feelings about Internet and social networks.
First of all, I strongly agree with Coline and Garance saying that Internet is a precious tool to recruit young people in terrorist organizations. Week people can easily be enrolled in this kind of enterprises.
From a social point of view, Internet discovery has fully changed our way of life since new generations (and not only surprisingly) spend most of their time on their smartphone, laptop.. To my mind, it has a really negative impact on our social relationships by separating ourselves from the society.
Nevertheless, it allows us to communicate with friends or members of our family that are far away from us. For instance, thanks to Internet, I can have news about my American host family whenever I want.
To conclude, I couldn't say that Internet is a bad technology but we have to use it very carefully and reasonably. One should not forget that all the things posted on social networks will be kept on databases FOREVER.

It can make people more sociable because it's more easily to talk on a computer. But in a other hand, socials networks are quite dangerous. Because we can meet some dangerous people or some people thinks that they free behind a screen and starts to insult the other.
In my minds, I use social networks everyday but I think I can live without it. However, one day, I will erase Internet of my live to live without it but I think it's impossible. Or I will not be alive.

ReplyDeleteThe Internet is a part of our life, and even if everybody is different, we all use it every day, thanks to the rich content that it offers. However, too many people are addicted to the internet and couldn’t live one hour without it. That is the reason why we can ask ourselves if the internet is a creator or a destroyer of social links.

Indeed, it helps us to keep relations with friends we would have lost without it. I think for instance, about the apps like face time or skype with vocal or video calls which help us to communicate for free if we are in different country. Moreover, even if we must be careful because it can be dangerous, the internet allows us to meet new people with who we can have a lot in common. Like with games online which has a chat option, or the meeting applications.
On the other hand, it can destroy social links.
A lot of people use it as a drug, especially to watch shows, or to plays games. They are addicted to that and spend their entire day on it without sleeping which make them angry and disrespectful.
To conclude the internet can be a creator of the social life thanks to the meeting or chatting apps but it can also be a destroyer if people use internet too much.
